Transcript of What are the Five Online Giving Channels?
An overview of online giving
channels and giving habits.
What are Online Giving
Channels?
What are giving channels?
Network for Good processes donations for
charities on multiple platforms or channels.
Because we process so many donations, we
have the ability to segment donation data based
on the channel of giving to produce our annual
Digital Giving Index.
What is the Digital Giving Index?
Network for Good created the Digital Giving Index to
provide insights on charitable giving for nonprofits seeking
to strengthen relationships with donors and companies
seeking to engage with consumers and employees.
The Digital Giving Index examines giving behavior across
Network for Good's online donation platform. This Index
builds on data and observations from The Online Giving
Study, created in 2010, and is updated regularly to provide
snapshots of the state of online giving.
Here are the 5 different giving
channels represented in the Digital
Giving Index.
A generic giving page is an
online donation page that does not visually match the nonprofit’s brand.
Our generic giving pages include Network for Good
branding with the nonprofit’s address clearly
displayed. This is an online shopping cart or
“checkout” experience for donors.
