Who discovered electricity?·Thales of Miletus.·Found that rubbing fur on amber caused an atraction between

the two.·Benjamin Franklin, in 1600, coined the Latin word electrius and

studied electricity more specifically.

Where was it found?·Electricity comes from the Greek amber.

·Found in Greece.

·Before any knowledge, Egyptians were aware of electrical shocks.

What was the first application for electricity?-The first application was electromagnetism.

-Joseph Henry built the first electromagnet in 1829

What was it used for?-It was a scientific instrument used to lift hundreds

of pounds of metal.

-It was an invention for a everyday use.

How long was it running?

-It run everytime you connected to the electricity current

-It was used mainly until 1829

Find out what was one of the first electric machines were built-The first electric machines were electrostatic devices.

-These were created by Andrew Gordon in 1740s. They consist of an electric current and a magnetic field.

-An example of an electric machine is a light bulb, invented by Thomas Edison.

Parts of the machine-The light bulb is connected to apower supply. A current of electricityrun out from one electrical footcontact to the other one.

Where the electrical energy consumed cames from.

Electricity cames from the principal power sources.

It principally cames from the energy consumed by the Earth.

Nearly 50% of the energy consumed in Spain, cames from Petroleum.

Energy transformations and applications this machine had.

Energy transformation: Energy can never be destroyed nor created, instead, it transforms from one form to another.

So light bulbs transforms into another form.
