How do you start a conversation?

These are used to start a conversation with someone and get to know this person better, we also use them to ask about places.

We use “what” or what (is / are), (do-does) , to ask for information for example :What’s your phone numberWhat’s her name?What do you want to study?What are your goals for the future?What did you say?

We use “when” to ask about dates (time) or special events such as birthdays , parties and specific moments.

Examples:When is your birthday?When are you going to visit your

relatives?When is the party?When do you like to Practice basketball?

When do you like to goTo the movies?

Examples :How do you make a cake?How are you doing?How old are you?How do you go to work everyday?How wonderful!How does it work?Wow! we’re going to the amusement park how exiting!

We use “How” to ask about manner; (how something is done)This adverb can also be used to express amazement!

We use “who is / are ” to ask about peopleWho is the president of Pakistan?Who is the most intelligent person in this room?Who are your friends?Do you know who he is?Who’s your favorite actor or singer?

We use “where” to ask About places and specific Locations examples:

Where’s the restroom?Where is he from?Where do you want to go?Do you know where the post office is?

We use “why” to ask for a reason; remember that we usually answer using “because”
