To achieve this, we have created two new programmes; Micro-Tyco Innovate and WildHearts Global Youth Ambassadors.

WildHearts

Micro-Tyco Innovate

Micro-Tyco Innovate provides school students (in teams of five) with the inspiration and critical business skills to create an execution plan for Responsible Business ideas, in just thirty days.

Stage 1Participants (aged 14 years and up) are taught about Responsible Business using the UN's SDGs as a template. Students then select a Global Goal that they would like to address and are trained in the Micro-Tyco Method. They then use those skills to identify and develop a Responsible Business solution to their chosen Global Goal.

Stage 2School teams present their ideas at regional events to a board of judges. Judges will come from the programme corporate partners. Ideas will be judged against the three pillars of the Micro-Tyco Method; Inspiration, Innovation and Execution.

Stage 3The winners from the regional finals will compete at the UK final. All finalists will be invited to a youth GEL Summit at the United Nations in Geneva to celebrate their achievements and act as a catalyst for future action.

There is a growing demand from society, business leaders and international governing bodies that businesses must practice Responsible Business and fulfil a greater purpose in society. Research also shows that young people want a career where they can make a positive impact. WildHearts is committed to providing them with the Inspiration, Knowledge and Networks they need to achieve this.

Building on the global success of the original Micro-Tyco programme (now called Micro-Tyco Generate) WildHearts is launching Micro-Tyco Innovate. Its aims are threefold;

To educate school pupils about Responsible Business and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

To provide them with the skills they need via the Micro-Tyco Method to create effective ideas to address the SDGs.

To inspire pupils that together, they have the power to make a positive impact, both locally and globally.

WildHearts Global Youth Ambassadors

WildHearts Global Youth Ambassador programme is a global movement of young people committed to using the power of entrepreneurial thinking to create positive social change. In doing so, they will inspire the next generation of global problem solvers to address the world’s most pressing challenges.

The programme is open to senior school (Yr. 12 / S5 & Yr. 13 / S6) and university students, who have not only demonstrated entrepreneurial excellence through Micro-Tyco, but are also passionate and motivated changemakers.

WildHearts Global Youth Ambassadors will inspire and empower other young people to foster a socially entrepreneurial mind-set and as a result will:

Develop essential leadership, business and life skills.

Nurture a can-do attitude and the drive to make ideas happen.

Develop practical skills such as financial literacy, collaboration and communication.

Promote awareness of the SDGs and how these can be addressed locally, regionally, nationally and globally.
