Transfer Policies

Students who transfer to WGU with an AA or AS in

education will enter with:

Up to 60 credits in K-8, Early Childhood & Special

Education

Up to 60 credits in Math and Science Education

All applicants are subject to an individual transfer review

to assess compliance with state licensure requirements

Enrollment Information

Terms are six months long

Terms begin on the first of each month

Standard load is 3 courses/term

No additional charge for completing more

than 3 courses

No additional charge for challenging exams

to demonstrate competency

Competency-based education

Students can benefit from what they already

know---learned on the job or independently

Students may challenge final exams if they

possess the skills and knowledge tested by the

exam

If they pass, credit is granted---if they fail there

is no penalty
