Application Timing:• While Cruiser Vibrance Quattro may be applied by commercial seed treaters, it is also
available in a convenient, pre-mix formulation that can be applied on-farm without the requirement of a closed system. To allow for optimal on-farm treatment flexibility, Cruiser Vibrance Quattro is available in a range of packaging sizes.
• Re-calibration of seeding equipment is recommended before planting treated seed
Use Rates and Packaging:• For control or suppression of certain seed- and soil-borne diseases and insects on barley,
oats, rye, triticale, winter wheat and spring wheat, apply 325 mL Cruiser Vibrance Quattro per 100 kg of seed
Tank-Mixes:• When wireworm activity is high, Cruiser Vibrance Quattro can be tank-mixed with Cruiser® 5FS
seed treatment to achieve a total use rate of 30 g of thiamethoxam per 100 kg seed. Consult each product label for registered use rates and follow all label use instructions. Read the label directions for each product and follow the most restrictive label precautions and limitations.

Use Rates and Packaging:• Apply 325 mL of Vibrance Quattro per 100 kg of seed for barley, oats, rye, triticale, winter
wheat and spring wheat. At this rate, Vibrance Quattro delivers 12 g of difenoconazole, 5 g of sedaxane, 3 g of metalaxyl-M (and S-isomer) and 2.5 g of fludioxonil per 100 kg of seed.
Tank-Mixes:
• For protection from various insects on registered crops, Vibrance Quattro may be tank-mixed with Cruiser® 5FS seed treatment. This tank-mix option is only valid for those crops common to the registered labels of Vibrance Quattro and Cruiser 5FS seed treatment insecticides. Consult each product label for registered use rates and follow all label use instructions. Read the label directions for each product and follow the most restrictive label precautions and limitations.

NOTE:
Ascochyta infected seed is an important vehicle for moving the disease into new areas of the field due the
ability of the pathogen to readily transmit from the infected seed to seedlings. Apron Advance will minimize
the growth of fungus on the seed and prevent the movement of fungus in the field. Apron Advance is an
important tool in an integrated approach to Ascochyta management in pulse crops.

wear cotton coveralls or long-sleeved shirt and long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, and work boots. In addition, wear a dust mask or appropriate respirator to minimize exposure to dust.
• For Commercial Seed Treatment Plant Use: Treaters, baggers, sewers, stackers, forklift operators and others must wear cotton coveralls over a long-sleeved shirt and long pants, and chemical-resistant gloves. In addition, wear a suitable dust mask when bagging or sewing bags of treated seed or when transferring seed to a storage bin. Water Volumes:• For control of various seed-borne and soil-borne diseases on soybeans, beans, lentils,
lupins, fava beans, and peas, apply 100 mL of Vibrance Maxx RFC Fungicide plus 225 mL of water (or Rhizobia inoculant at rates recommended by the manufacturer to achieve proper total slurry volumes) per 100 kg of seed. For chickpeas a total slurry volume of 650 mL per 100 kg of seed is recommended for optimal coverage.

Re-cropping and Use Restrictions: • Cut seed is particularly vulnerable to excess moisture. Too much moisture will induce
seed decay. Cruiser Maxx Potato Extreme has been designed to be delivered in very low volumes of liquid to ensure good coverage without increasing tuber decay. Do not add excess water to the cut seed.
• If soil conditions are ideal, plant potatoes immediately after application; however if soil is predicted to be cold and wet for three days following application, either a) wait to cut, treat, plant until conditions are favorable or b) cut, treat and store. If cutting, treating and storing, potatoes can be treated with an inert dust to improve suberization. Store properly until conditions improve by making sure that there is adequate cool air (7–10˚C) movement through the pile of cut seed potatoes and a relative humidity of 85–90%. Temperatures above 10˚C promote soft rot in seed. Cut and treated seed should not be piled above 1.8 m in height. Avoid storing treated potatoes for over two weeks. When transporting cut and treated seed make sure the seed is covered.

To successfully manage cereal leaf and stem diseases, Tilt® fungicide is registered for application at two different growth stages in wheat and barley: early-season herbicide timing and flag leaf timing. If disease is present at herbicide timing, apply Tilt along with a registered or supported herbicide tank-mix partner.
Early-season disease protection Applying Tilt at herbicide timing provides excellent early-season disease protection and consistent crop safety with all registered and supported herbicides. Should disease be evident at the early stages of crop growth, producers can treat the disease before it becomes a problem. Syngenta research found that Tilt applied with a herbicide provided a yield increase of 6% in wheat and 8% in barley compared to the untreated checks. This was due to the protection from further spread of cereal leaf diseases. At herbicide timing, Tilt offers disease suppression for about 7–10 days.
Why you might use Tilt at early-season herbicide timing When disease is evident at herbicide application, apply your herbicide tank-mixed with Tilt and then re-assess disease pressure at flag leaf. Consider early-season timing to help: • Control early-season disease pressure under tight cropping rotations• Maintain high quality and plumpness for all cereal varieties• In wet conditions or irrigated fields where early-season disease pressure is more likely to develop

The management of blackleg requires an integrated approach that includes the implementation of the best agronomic practices. As such, Syngenta provides growers with an integrated canola solution including hybrid varieties, Seedcare™ and foliar fungicides that are important tools for control, alongside genetics. Syngenta is equipping growers with the tools necessary to produce the best canola crop.
What is blackleg?Blackleg (also referred to as stem canker or phoma stem canker) is a complex of two species, Leptosphaeria maculans and Leptosphaeria biglobosa.
• In Western Canada, serious losses to canola crops have been documented in both research trials and individual fields.
• Since 2003, R-rated varieties are having their resistance overcome and are developing blackleg. Loss of resistance is occurring in fields where rotations between canola crops are tight, along with continued use of one type of resistance gene in a canola variety.
• Disease lesions may occur on cotyledons, leaves, stems and pods. Often you don’t see the lesions on the leaves but only the stem effects later in the season when it’s too late for any management practices to be employed.
• If blackleg is severe it can reduce the flow of water and nutrients that can lead to premature ripening and decreased yield.
Key points to manage blackleg1. Assess blackleg risk (tight rotation, having it last year, and high yield environments). Scout for
the disease throughout the entire growing season in order to know your risk. The ideal time to easily identify the disease is near harvest to determine if blackleg was present and may pose a risk to future canola crops. Keep good records.
2. If blackleg is present and severe, then consider adopting a longer crop rotation.3. For higher blackleg risk situations, then consider using an application of a fungicide at the
2 to 6 leaf stage of canola.4. Stewardship of blackleg resistance and agronomic practices designed to control blackleg
must be managed together.

Reglone® Ion is a pre-harvest desiccant that dries down crops quickly. It’s for use on plants with indeterminate growth – like pulses – that set flowers early and continue to produce them throughout the season. That means that the pods near the bottom will be more mature than the ones near the top. A desiccant dries the newer, greener tissue at the top so the whole plant is uniformly ready for harvest.
A quick drydown is critical to maintaining grade and yield in pulse crops. Drying in the swath can take weeks and leaves the crop exposed to sun, rain, dew and wind, all of which can have a detrimental effect on seed-borne disease levels, bleaching, staining and overall grade.
Desiccation speeds up the natural plant drydown process, allowing crops to be harvested quicker, easier and earlier, while at the same time maximizing both crop yield and quality.
Planning • Apply Reglone Ion to crops you intend to direct harvest, not swath• Apply Reglone Ion if the crop shows variability in its development; for instance, when it’s apparent
that some areas of the field are more mature than other areas
Application Timing • When a crop starts to change colour, that’s when you should start to consider making
your Reglone Ion application• For lentils and peas, the lower pods should be brown, dry and will rattle when shaken• For chickpeas, wait until about 80% of the pods are brown• The exact timing will depend on if you want the top pods to mature and to what extent
Application Tips • Reglone Ion is activated by the sun. By applying it in the evening, you give Reglone Ion time to
diffuse across plant surfaces so when the sunlight hits it, it gives you the best coverage possible.• It may seem counterintuitive, but use the highest recommended water volume. This ensures
maximum penetration into the canopy. Be sure the water is free of dirt and other contaminants.• If necessary, spray Reglone Ion in stages, allowing yourself time at harvest to take advantage
of the window of opportunity that Reglone Ion provides
Harvest Timing • Ideally, harvest the field as soon as the crop is dry. Desiccated pods left in the field during
dry conditions are prone to shatter. Crop left in the field during moist conditions may result in reduced seed quality.
• The usual interval between Reglone Ion application and harvest is 4–10 days. The actual interval is determined by weather conditions, application timing and use rate.
• If significant rainfall occurs after application, the period between desiccation and harvest could be extended. Weather, day length and sunlight intensity, crop maturity, Reglone Ion application rate and water volume (coverage) can all affect the speed of desiccation.

Container Disposal
The issue of resistance management is important for all classes of crop protection products: seed treatments, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides. All products are classified by chemical group and it is absolutely critical to rotate groups (within product categories) to help reduce resistance development in target pests.

WALES Mixing Order:
W – Add Water, including conditioners (Ammonium sulfate (AMS), Ammonium thiosulfate (ATS), pH modifiers) and premixed liquid fertilizer, into the spray tank before anything else. Fill tank at least ¼–½ full and start agitation before adding crop protection/turf products.
W – Add products packaged in a Water Soluble Powders, Pouch or Packets (WSP) or Water Soluble Bags (WSB) into clean water before any other material. These are typically highly potent products, such as sulfonyl ureas, and packaged in small pouch made of a water soluble film. Allow the water soluble bags to completely dissolve before adding any other products. Add Solid Fertilizer (SFert).
W – Add Wettable Powders (WP).
W – Add Water Dispersible Granules or Wettable Dry Granules (WDG), Wettable Granules (WG) or Dry Flowable (DF).
A – Maintain Agitation and allow the dry products to mix thoroughly to ensure uniform dispersion before adding other products. This might take a few minutes. Agitate thoroughly to ensure dispersion and/or dissolution of solids.
L – Add Flowable Concentrates for Seed treatment (FS) such as Capsule Suspension Concentrates (CS), Suspension Concentrates (SC), Suspo-emulsions (SE), Zeon Concentrate (ZC) or (ME). (L = A.I. is present as particles and are not dissolved so product appears opaque, trouble).
E – Add Emulsifiable Concentrates or Emulsion Concentrate (EC) or Microemulsifiable Concentrates (MEC).
S – Add Soluble Liquids (SL) or Solutions (SN). SL and SN products are both almost always clear or translucent (even if very dark in colour) since A.I. are dissolved-in solution; these products are water-based.
Complete filling of the tank with carrier. Lastly, add any surfactants such as Non-Ionic Surfactant (NIS) or Crop Oil Concentrates (COC) (when required by the label). Maintain agitation until all of the solution has been sprayed.
Typical SC products contain many compounds that ensure delivery of the A.I. to its target site: water, adjuvant, antifoam, biocide, antifreeze, antisettling agent, dispersing agent and active ingredient.
