• Our concerns are that after costing has been agreed and the reticulation system has been completed that additional charges will be created over following years and charged to each Ongare resident instead of being part of the UAC.

• Get a loan and spread it over 30 years. Put it on

our rates. The stormwater system is not maintained, how to [the] hell is the council going to look after a sewer system.

Community questions raised

TE KAUNIHERA O TE HAUAURU PEOPLE PLAN PROGRESS

Community Questions Raised

• Investigate interest free loans as opposed to up front cost being covered by land owner.

• If Reticulation system is not installed, will council offer subsidy to upgrade to OSET plan to individual land owners

• What happens to us from 1st December in terms of our existing scheme and compliance

Community Questions Raised • I recall engineer stating at one of first community

meetings that in using to help with costs we needed to be aware that if full scheme achieved subdivision of appropriate size sections would offset costs.

• Who supervises contractors? I seem to recall vast overrun of costs on Waihi Beach scheme when nobody checking quality of pipes and so had to be redone.

• Investigate/cost: solar panel powered/enabled pumps for scheme.
