• National Training Strategy Goals:• Understand: Understand the priority training needs of air quality agency

professionals• Provide: Provide training opportunities that meet the priority needs of air quality

agency professionals• Utilize: Utilize course materials that are up-to-date, accurate, complete, and easy

to use• Conduct: Conduct all training using recognized subject matter experts and

effective teachers• Deliver: Deliver effective and cost-efficient training through the use of existing,

new and emerging technologies where appropriate

• Training Strategy Action Plan:• Course Update Priorities*: Process for evaluating the quality

and currency of training courses and the material included in APTI-Learn.

• Gap Filling: Prioritize and initiate a plan to develop training offerings to fill gaps, based on curriculum project

• Needs Assessment*: Develop and implement a process to determine the highest priority training needs on an on-going basis

• APTI-Learn Enhancement*: Develop and implement a plan for further enhancement and on-going maintenance of APTI-Learn
