West Virginia led 5-1 in to eighth, but Kannapolis got within one on a bases loaded triple and tied the game on a wild pitch. The Intimidators took a 7-5 lead in the top of the tenth and Hayes singled in two to extend the game. In the 16th inning, Mitchell Tolman doubled in Christian Kelley for the second walk-off win of the year. Logan Ratledge earned the win and Jaider Rocha took the loss in a gam that lasted five hours and one minute. MARATHON MEN: Monday’s game was the longest in the history of Appalachian Power Park. No game had lasted longer than 15 innings since the stadium opened in 2005. The longest game time-wise prior to Monday’s five hour and one minute game was four hours and 57 minutes on July 22, 2010 against Savannah. The longest game in Power history was a 19 inning contest in 2011 at Greensboro that lasted five hours and nine minutes.
