I had a ‘head butting’ session witha pigeon, showering Kurt withfeathers and guts! More mielieswere followed by rolled hay bales,farmers getting ready for thewinter. No camels though, theyare clearly not kept thereanymore. Yet everyone enjoyedthe open road and fresh air.Arriving at Western Cane Emiladvised that they wereclosed. We decided to head forthe wimpy in Magalies but on theway there I landed behind theBlack Horse Brewery’s vehiclesand changed my mind! We arrivedthere with a sign outside saying‘fully booked’ but when Ienquired, they quickly made spacefor us. Joe and Charmaine joinedus shortly after we were seated.

Continued from Page1 But when I arrived atPinehaven I was greeted by 6happy faces and more arrived...Emil and Ann decided the groupneeded a back up vehicle withspares seeing we had holes inradiators and oil leaks duringthe last two weeks! I took upthe lead while Daniel worked assweeper...This was a scenic route of note– past the Krugersdorp GameReserve then turning onto theVentersdorp road but no sign ofKosmos as yet, mielies and moremielies. Turning onto the‘camel’ road, we were greeted byfields of sunflowers, their facessmiling at the sun. Thenfollowed more mielies and then

The groupsplit when we left, some takinga short ride home while othersdecided that we should enjoyevery mountain pass andbending road the area had tooffer. Joe took up the lead thistime, Hekpoort pass was a blisswith no slowing traffic, thesatellite road was the next shift,then taking the pass up towardsLanseria! We took the ET roadand had to slow down forbicycles, cops, emergencyvehicles and slow traffic,calming us down to a stop aJenny’s for refreshments! GreatSunday for riding..
