LOCATION KEY RETAIL LOCATIONS KEY EMPLOYERS The West of England currently has a very exciting and wide variety of retail destinations. Great progress has been made in the last decade with much more planned for the future. We are striving to appeal to an even wider range of retailers, many of whom have not yet considered this region in their expansion plans. Significant retail expansion has taken place with new retail destinations opening very successfully. Transport links are improving rapidly and the region is attracting an ever growing number of tourists. Businesses are investing here and employment opportunities are rising steadily and all indicators are positive. We have everything the customer could require all within very easy reach, there are new opportunities for retailers to join the ever-growing offer. This includes town and city centres, out of town, edge of town and also a wide range of enthusiastic specialist independents along with new investment to the retail offer in Yate and Weston-super-Mare. The population in Bath, Bristol and South Gloucestershire (near to Cribbs Causeway) is set to rise with a large number of new houses planned. Discussions are underway relating to retail expansion proposals at Cribbs Causeway and adjacent to Cabot Circus in Bristol city centre.
