Dear Freinds and Customers, It is sale time once again! I hope that means warmer tem-peratures for all of us! The year has gone by so quickly even with all the harsh, cold days we had. This has been a very hard, cold winter. Even with the bitter temperatures we have had, you will not see it reflected on our sale of-fering. The bulls and heifers gained just as well this year as they have in the past. We are excited to bring you sons and daughters of, Platinum, Fargo, Silver Distance, Reli-ance, Red Smoke, Cracker Jack and Cowboy Cut, Firewa-ter, Cooley Royce, Extra Deep, Stacker, and Payload. This year’s line up is stout, including our entire 2014 NWSS Pen of Five.
We are once again offering 26 open heifers, including our lead off heifer from our 2014 NWSS Reserve Champion Pen of Three Heifers! The heifers have been hand picked from the top of our replacement pen and are hard to part with. We want to pass along only the best of what we have to offer. We invite you to stop by the ranch anytime to in-spect our offering, or better yet, hope to see you at the sale April 5th, 2014. Sincerly, Wells Charolais

Platinum 20K was the heaviest bull ever to finish test at 1,795 lbs. at the Charsational Test Station in Manitoba.
Platinum rated second as yearling weight trait leader in the North American Charolais Cattle Evalluation.
He is also in the top 10 for weaning weight. His REA measurement is out-standing. Platinum’s legend rolls on!
Siring many excellent females including many grand champions. Calves sired by Platinum sons continue to top the scales and top the markets.
Produced the high selling sire group and the top selling bull in our sale for 9 consecutive years.
17 sons working in 12 purebred operations. Several sons and grandsons in our NWSS pen of bull 2011-2014.
Two daughters in our NWSS pen of three heifers in 2013
We purchased 58U from Defoort Stock Farms as a yearling in 2009. He was the top selling bull in their private treaty sale for that year.
58U has proved himself to be like his father, “Platinum 20K” 58U’s calf crops have been tremendous.
He had sons in our Denver pens for the past four consecutive years. Bringing home Reserve Champion winners for three of them.
Proven genetics that carry on from his father. We are extremely happy with the sons and daughters he has been producing.
Here is your chance to get in on the Legendary Platinum bloodline.
The Legend is living on!

The Legend is just what his name says! He continues to shatter performance records!
Massive performance, size, bone, muscle, hair, guts and nuts. Legend was on display in our 2014 NWSS Pen. He was not shown in our pen of five because he
was too big! He also carries the traits of a huge ribeye. 6596 has raised three bull calves with an average adj.
205 wt. of 926! The Legend’s full sister, 1596, raised her first calf this year which was lead off heifer in our 2014 Reserve
Champion Pen of Three! Maximum performance and ma-ternal in one package. 6596 has a +19 Milk EPD. Legend’s
full brother the “Rock” was anchor bull in our 2011 Reserve Champion Pen of Three in Denver. Hard As a Rock was our lead off bull in our 2013 Denver Pen of Five and went on to
be our high selling bull going to Sandmeier Charolais. Retaining 1/3 semen interest!

Bozo is super thick, deep bodied, wide topped, extra bone and hair, big nuts, and awesome feet. He manages to carry all of these traits with the softest look imaginable! Bozo was
Grand Champion Charolais Bull at the 2013 Clay County Fair in Spencer, IA as a calf. Then was a semi-finalist at the 2013 American Royal
Breeders Classic. He finished up being our lead off bull in our 2014 NWSS Pen of Five. 8114 has become a Dam of Distinction as her last three bull calves have an average
adj. 205 wt of 898! 8114 has a super udder that has allowed her to do this fabulous job!

Herd Sire Prospect!Sudden Impact is wide-topped, deep bodied, and an excellent spring of
rib. He suddenly went from 78lbs to 1449lbs in 365 days. Notice his huge scrotal! Dam has 2 daughters in 2 purebred herds with a +25 Milk EPD!
Ice Age has survived the winter by smoking his way up the charts! A maternal brother sold to Dynamic Z Charolais in 2012 sale, sired a set of commercial calves born April & May that weaned off at a 620 lb average on
Sept. 16th, 2013. That Maternal brother is also the sire of lot #23
An older yearling with rock solid performance that is ready to go to work! His age compared to the rest of the bulls in the sale doesn’t
allow for much adjustment on his weights. Tried and Proven will certainly add a lot of length.
Ice Storm has been coming right up the charts in a short time. He will add some frame and length to a set of feeder cattle
that will perform extremely well!

The $37,000 high selling bull from the 2009 A. Sparrow Farms Bull Sale. To date we have sold over $50,000 worth of semen throughout Canada, USA, and Columbia. Canadian Semen Rights sold to Kirby and Arlene Hakkesteegt
known as Kirlene Cattle and Keithe and Karen Black known as Blackbern Farms of Ontario Canada. All Canadian semen is to be purchased through the semen right holders. Fall walking rights sold to New Hope Farms of Siler NC.
Fargo has been excelling as a herd sire wihin our herd. We have used him on heifers 4 years in a row with tremedous success. Low birth weights, calving ease, and performance is what you can expect out of Fargo calves. A Fargo Son was part of our Pen shows two consecutive years at the NWSS where we came home
Reserve Champions both of those years. Stampede, a Fargo son in our 2012 sale, was the Top selling bull going to Sandmeier Charolais.
Fargo calves waste no time getting up and going after birth. Lots of vigor!Fargo daughters are making their way to the top of the herd with top weaning calves. American EPD’s may not reflect accurate EPD’s on Canadian animals
brought across the border but our Fargo daughters can tell a much different story.

This Fargo son has definitely created a storm! If you are looking for big calves at weaning, look no further!
Storm is highly attractive, extra smooth, a mile long, and alot of volume. All of this combined with an 82 lb BW makes him a special feature.
Prime Rib will offer alot of that and then some! Primed for calving ease and performance! Prime Rib is moderate framed
and exhibits alot of middle in an attractive package. 716 has done an excep-tional job with a top selling lot in the 2013 SD Charolais Classic.
High Octane has the genetics to add some octane to your herd. Don’t let his dehorned status scare you away, especially on black cows. Calving ease,
performance, extra length, massive volume, and a lot of hair are just some his characteristics. Full brother was a top selling lot in our 2011 sale.
Ice storm has a wide top , super thick and a lot of volume in a moderate package. I would even recommend him for larger framed heifers. Notice his spread from 76 to 1415 lbs. 375 has raised a herd sire for Arrowhead Ranch
in TX. and a high selling bred heifer in the 2013 SD Charolais Classic.

Round up offers the same charecteristics as his full brother, Stampede, who was the top selling lot in our
2012 sale to Sandmeier Charolais. Round up is super deep, long, and carries a lot of
meat in his lower quarter. A lot of bull in an attractive package!
Warning: If you sell calves at weaning time this bull will add those extra pounds at $2.00 per pound. He will add a lot of size and length to a set of
cattle that will feed quite well. 156 is also the dam of lots 10 and 11. We flushed her in the spring and she bred right back.
156 is still here at 13 years old.
Full Throttle is thick butted and super nutted!Full Throttle had the hammer down from birth all the way through year-ling. He offers maxinum capacity! His sire Argo sired a set of commercial
calves born in April and May that weighed 620 lbs on Sept. 16th. This guy will do that or maybe more!

Argo is a young Fargo son that is only going to keep getting better with age. A full brother in our 2013 sale was in popular demand bringing
$4750 going to Bud Bruckner. Dam 9156 has never missed. Notice his spread from birth to yearling.
Check out his age!
3704 is the youngest bull in the sale! Recommended for heifers. Calving ease and performance in an attrac-
tive package! Notice his 78 lb BW and Minus BW EPD.
Fargo offers calving ease and a lot of growth. He has exploded since a year of age. He just gets better with time which is a Fargo characteristic.

Charolais Cross calves have been the hot ticket so far this year. Hub City Livestock has done it again. Those Hellwig boys know how to sell
cattle. On January 4th, 2014 they held a special feeder cattle sale with over 1500 head of Wells Charolais Genetics being ran through the ring. We had a large
number of our Long Term Customers at the sale. It was very nice to see our ge-netics still working for them. 30+ years of continued loyalty through the Wells
Charolais breeding program was represented on January 4th. We are very thankful to each and everyone of our customers.
Thank you for your continued support year after year.

We purchased Reliance from Sparrows 2010 bull sale. Reliance calves have been stout, moderate, and packed with a punch. This is our third calf crop off him and we are impressed. He has since been promoted to
senior herd sire. And Rightfully earned! Reliance is a Canadian bull that adds tons of performance to our Charolais industry. Once again you won’t see it reflect in his EPD’s. Reliance daughters have been a great addition to our herd. When you bring a Charolais across the border the American Association puts all EPD’s
at zero. He had to start from the bottom and work his own way up. Sometimes the numbers on paper tell a much different story from what you see in production.
Reliable is a moderate framed piece of dynamite! He has a ton of middle and alot of hair.
He is wide-topped and loaded with meat and muscle. Gaining almost 5 lbs a day.
This guy snuck up from behind and is making his appear-ance prominent! Sub Zero is a maternal brother to the famous Mustand Sally and alsoMustang Bella who just recently sold for $20,000 to Dynamic Z Charolais at the
National sale in Denver. Sub Zero is moderate frame and super, super thick! He has a ton of middle with huge capac-
ity. The top gaining bull in the sale with huge testicles for his age! 9724 has never missed, including being flushed and
bred right back. Her first heifer sold to Sandmeier Cha-rolais, her second heifer was retained in our herd and the
third bull is up for public auction. Retaining 1/2 semen interest!

A full brother to the famous Mustand Sally who has been a popular dam in the club calf industry! Breatha-lyzer will take your breath away when you look at him. He looks just like his sire, the most popular, Firewater.
Super thick and stout with that aweosme look! Retaining 1/3 semen interest
Smooth Ice is just that! He has the smoothest look with a ton of hair, and extra bone. He carries an ample amount of muscle. Notice his big spread
from birth to yearling and gaining over 4.5 lbs per day! 341 and 7172 were both on the ranch 10 plus years.
San Antonio is one of the youngest bulls in the sale! He is super thick, wide-topped, and loaded with meat. These Reliance calves are all super stout and
moderate framed. 342 is 10 years old and is the granddam of lot 12.
Notice Charlie’s age and then look at him! Charlie is extremely smooth with a lot of capacity! Super thick and awesome performance.
A lot of efficiency in gainability here.

LT Distance was the top selling Silver Distance son in Lindskov Thiel’s 2011 sale. These boys here are LT Distance’s second set of bulls. We have been very pleased with the growth of the Silver Distance bloodline. They have been easy fleshing and good growth.
Well below average birth weight with above average performance and maternal traits which makes him very unique.
Blizzard Warning was a member of our 2014 NWSS Pen of Five. He is an extremely smooth Distance son out of a great Platinum daughter that offers a ton of performance and excellent scrotal.
6711’s avg. Adj.205 wt. on four bulls is 794 lbs. He is very long sided and deep bodied. He offers an above average Milk EPD.
Wind Chill was a member of our 2014 NWSS pen of Five. He offers excellent calving ease and performance.
Gaing 4 lbs per day. Small head and smooth shoulders are just some of his calving ease characteristics. This is Hondura’s second calf and
her first one was in the 2013 sale, bringing $4000. A very good accomplishment for a first calf heifer.

Silver Royal offers a lot of middle in a very attractive package. Notice his spread from birth to yearling and gaining 4.5 lbs a day. His dam is 12 years old and has raised many great ones,
including a Red Smoke daughter that is now in our donor program!
Sleep Easy offers just that! He is recommended for heifers.
Take him home, breed your heifers, and sleep easy! Notice his above 700 lb weaning weight and a lot of volume in a
small package!
A Distance son that has exploded after weaning! He is gaing 4.5 lbs per day and has a well above average scrotal. He is extremely smooth, big footed with a lot of rib, and great volume.
His dam has done an extremely nice job!
Cooley was a member of our 2014 NWSS Pen of Five. Do not go by his Adj. weights,
for he is the second oldest bull in the sale. His age was well above the adjusted days,
so he always got adjusted down. This bull is super thick, deep bodied, and extra muscle.

Red Charolais Bull.
Under 10 months of age Justin had already made a name for him-self. He went to Denver where he turned almost every head as he
walked by. Most took double takes at him in the stall and some even came back to look one more time.
Since then Justin’s Australian Semen Rights have been sold, and he is freezing semen as we speak. At 10 months of age his first jump he
froze 184 straws. USA semen is available now! Canadian Semen Rights are for sale!
Herd Sire Prospect! Justins’ grand dam “Prairie Rose” was awarded the highest Milk EPD in Canadian Charolais
History. Our American association does not carry that information over with Canadian animals brought into American enrollment. So unfortunely you will not see that in his American EPD’s. If Justin were to be enrolled in Canada, since his sire is a Canadian herd sire, he also will have
some great EPD’s in Canada, and that is where you will see his closer to true numbers on paper. Until then you will have to continue to rely on the old way of evaluating cattle. Eye ball them!
Club Calf Alert!Justin’s dam (Justice) is a young Cigar daughter. She has never missed. She has produced four
calves with a 77 lb BW average, and an average 205 day weight of 730. Both her bulls from previous years have been in the bull sale, with one daughter
retained in the herd due to calve spring of 2014.
With his low birth and high growth you can expect some tremdous calves at weaning. Solid Red in color (NO WHITE!) makes him a solid herd sire prospect!
Recommended for heifers.Selling: 1/2 possession and 1/2 USA semen interest!

Red Royal gives a new meaning to RED FACTOR! Red Royal offers a vast amount of color.
Now we’ll start with his numbers; a below average BW, an above average scrotal. Better yet this is his dam’s second calf.
Her first calf sold in the 2013 sale for $6000 to Rocky Ulrich. Dam’s average 205 wt. on two calves is 856 lbs. Sired by two different bulls.
Consistency? We will leave you be the judge!
Selling 1/2 Possession and 1/2 USA Semen Rights!
Red Alert!Granite offers that solid red color, moderate frame, and a lot of muscle and thickness. He is sure to add calving ease with his small head and smooth shoulders. He was a stand out in the pasture all summer. 9055 has calved every year on time. In the 2013 sale her heifer was a high seller, going to
Dynamic Z Charolais, where she had a successfull show career.
Big Jack is white in color but still carries the red gene! Big Jack is very long and extra thick, carrying a lot of muscle. Dam, 5014 has
been an excellent producer for us and is a grandam of a heifer in this
Uncle Jack is white but still carries the red gene. Jack has a ton of middle, wide-topped, and a ton of hair, looking at him from the front on, he exhibits alot of calving ease. Ranking #2 in his contemporary

We named him Record Breaker for a reason! Look at the bull and then look at his numbers. He ranked #4 at weaning in the whole herd! He has the largest spread from birth to weaning in the sale. His dam isn’t headed
to the top, she is already there! His dam is a first calf heifer!
New Standard has a double shot of calving ease with What A Cat on the bottom side. Dam is a first calf heifer. He offers a huge spread from birth to yearling and still maintains an average Milk EPD. He is very well made
with a lot of spring of rib, thickness, and smooth throughout the shoulders.
We started off our Christmas in 2012 by going to the calving barn and there was NOEL! Out of the popular Reality sire he brings you a ton of performance. Noel is big framed, super stout, extra bone, and a lot of
volume. An older bull that is ready to breed alot of cows.
Payload will increase your dollars on your next load of calves. Dam is a first calf heifer and did an awesome job. 7183 and 183 have all been excellent producers for us. Recommended for large frame heifers.
Payload is moderate frame and offers the most eye appeal in the sale offering.

Stacked up is just that! Coming out of Stacker is super thick with a lot of depth of body, but still carries that attractive look! His recipient dam didn’t milk the greatest which reflects his WW a little, but he exploded on feed. Gaining almost 5 lbs per day. Dam, 53L has had a long legacy of progeny!
Easy Shot is dynamic in a moderate package! Dam is a first calf heifer and is getting closer every day for the second.
He is recommended for heifers. Weaned off at over 700 lbs. Compact, meat and muscle, calving ease, best describes Easy shot!
Extra Deep he is! He is also extra long. Dam is a first calf heifer. Extra Deep is recommeded for heifers. Granddam is a Dam of Distinction and it
looks like T18 is headed that way. A lot of bull for a calving ease sire.
Extra Ease offers just that! Recommended for heifers.
Dam is a first calf heifer. He is very attractive to look at. Offers a lot of length and a smooth muscle pattern.
Firewater is out of a first calf heifer and is recommended for heifers. Look at his BW and then his WW. He offers alot of thickness for a
calving ease sire and still carries that smooth look!

Cowboy we have used on heifers with excellent success. He sired Cherry Blast and Cherry Bang who were in our
2014 NWSS Reserve Champion Pen of Three Heifers.
The Legend still rolls on with a Red Smoke dam producing Cherry Blast that was a member of our
2014 NWSS Reserve Champion Pen of Three Heifers.
We brought Dynamite back home to breed a few cows. We picked him because of his color, moderate frame, & performance.
That is what we are recieving!

RED Alert!Red Blaze carries that herd sire look!
Red Blaze is super thick, smooth shouldered, and super deep. He definitely carries a lot of calving ease. Maternal brother was a high
performing bull in the 2013 sale.
Firecracker is light cream in color, but will sire a lot of red calves because his sire is red and so is the dam. Firecracker is wide-topped and extra long. A full brother to
9402 was the high selling fall bull in 2013 sale for $6000 to Rodney Zemlicka.
RED Alert!Red Jack is solid red in color! He is super stout like his daddy. Look at the per-
formance from birth to yearling. Dam is doing an excellent job. Her first calf was retained in the herd, second calf sold in 2013 sale to Arrowhead Ranch, TX .
Easy Jack is white in color but still carries the red gene. Dam is a first calf heifer. He is recommended for heifers. Notice his spread from birth to yearling.
A bull that is ready to breed alot of cows.
