Christmas Tree The PCP Christmas tree assembly
comprises of Master valve, BOP, kill wing valve and Drive head on top.
At the bottom we have tubing hanger which has got chemical injection connection and down hole gauge cable running up to the downhole.
The wing XSV is installed for the slam shut of the flow arm in case of trip scenario.

PCP (Progressive Cavity Pump)
PCP: A Progressive cavity pump is a type of positive displacement pump and is also known as a progressing cavity pump, eccentric screw
pump or cavity pump.
PC Pumping Systems typically consist of the following components: Surface Equipment Drive head assembly VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) Down hole gauge Panel (Geophysical Research Company) BOP (Blow Out Preventer), Flow Tee – Kombi Tree Down hole equipment Stator (Stationary with tubing) Rotor (Internal & Rotary with drive rods)

Polish Rod and Clamp arrangement
The entire series of Polish rod, Sucker rod and Rotor is suspended in the downhole through the Polish rod clamp.
Sucker rods transfers the power from the prime mover ( Motor ) to Rotor.

PC Pumping System
PCP Systems typically consist of a surface drive, a sucker rod string, a production tubing string and, of course, the downhole Progressing Cavity Pump.
The pump comprises two key elements:A single helical-shaped ROTOR that turns inside a
double helical elastomer-lined STATOR
In most cases, the stator is attached to the bottom of a production tubing string and the rotor is attached to a drive string that is suspended and rotated by the surface drive.

Progressing Cavity PumpGeneral Features
Classified as a single rotor, internal helical gear, positive displacement pump
Consists in two key components: Rotor:
Is a high strength steel component externally machined as a helix of “n” lobes and coated with chrome or an alternative hard material.
Only moving part. Stator:
Generally made with elastomer (or rubber) with and internal shape as an helix of “n+1” lobes. This rubber body is bonded to the interior of a steel tube.
Stationary piece.

VFD & GRC Panel VFD , variable frequency drive is a
device which is used to control the speed by adjusting frequency of the motor input power supply.
The LCD screen display’s the parameters related to Motor i.e. frequency, current, avg voltage etc.
The Down hole gauge (GRC) panel is installed to monitor the well downhole parameters like Pump intake/discharge temperature & Pressure locally.

Kombi-Tee Functions
Provides a solid platform to mount the PCP Drivehead
Side ports direct the well production down the flow line
BOP seals off wellbore to allow servicing of the surface equipment
Polish Rod Clamp suspends the rod string and resists torque, allowing for safe maintenance and easier removal and installation of the Drivehead
By applying 500 ft-lbs of torque to the lock out rams, they will suspend ≥39000 lbs of axial load and resist ≥1000 ft-lbs of torque

Jet Pumps
• The actual working components of the jet pump are the nozzle, throat and diffuser.
• These components are assembled in a variety of configurations and materials to suit the production requirements and downhole environment.
How the Jet Pump Works• Power fluid at high pressure (low velocity) is converted to a low-
pressure (high velocity) jet by the nozzle.• The pressure at the entrance of the throat becomes lower as
the power fluid rate is increased. Due to this lower pressure, fluid is drawn in from the wellbore.
• The suction fluid becomes entrained with the high velocity jet and the pumping action then begins.
• After mixing in the throat, the combined power fluid and suction fluid is slowed down by the diffuser. Because the velocity is reduced, the pressure increases – rising to a value sufficient to pump the fluid to the surface.
A full range of nozzle and throat sizes are available to allow power fluid rate and pressure to be varied to meet various requirements.
