Please make sure to watch MSH Medical Director,

Dr. Zinner’s video regarding the wearing of PPE

appropriately. You received an email dated 5/28/20.

The video is titled, “Med Dir msg 5-28-20” and is located

at this link:

All staff are required to wear appropriate PPE in patient areas. Medical-grade paper masks with nose

and chin covered is mandatory. A cloth mask may be worn under or over a paper mask, but a cloth mask

alone is not sufficient, unless there is a pocket inside for a paper filter. Offices on the unit are considered

to be in a patient area. Please watch the video for further explanation. All staff are personally

responsible for adhering to directives regarding PPE. Thank you!

Gender and Depression, Different Experience of Feelings by Dr. Louis Kopolow Men and women experience

feelings differently. Men have

frequently characterized women

as too emotional, while women

have often viewed men as simply

“not getting it.”

Research examining the areas

of the brain which become active

when a person is asked to think

of something sad shed light on

the major physiologic differences

underlying emotions in men versus

women. The small area of men’s brain activated while processing sad emotions compared to the extensive

areas activated in women may help us understand why men have such difficulty recognizing and express-

ing feelings and why they may tend to avoid emotional discussions or become overwhelmed by them.
