ForenrollingintotheAPIExaminations,candidateswillhavetovisittheAPIwebsitelinkwww.api.org/icp(Apply&Recertify),readinstructionscarefullyandfollowthroughstepbystepuntiltheyaresuccessfullyregisteredwithaconfirmationofvenueandschedule.

TheexaminationswillbeonlineconductedthroughPrometrictestingcentersatTrivandrumorChennaiforsouthernIndia.ThecurrentexamfeeisUS$900/whichmayvaryfromtimetotime(PleasemonitorontheAPIwebsite).Theonlineexaminationconsistsof:

3Hourclosedbookexamconsistingof100questions.4houropenbookexamconsistingof50questions.

Recertification:

ThecertificationtermforAPIisthreeyears.APIinspectorsneedtoapplyforrecertificationevery Three (3) years. Youmay apply for recertification 90 days prior to the Certificationexpiration date. API also allows a 90day grace period for submitting a Recertificationapplication.Latefeeswillapply.Ifanapplicationisnotsubmittedbytheendofthe90dayGraceperiod, thecertificationwillexpire.AnewapplicationAnd feesmustbe submitted,andacandidatemustalsotakeAndpassafullexaminationinordertoberecertified.
