NL1732 Grade T Twin Weld is a premium welding hose with an oil and fl ame resistant cover and tube. It can be used with most current fuel gases, including acetylene, propane, and MAPP gas. This hose is sometimes also used as a deadman sensing hose in sandblast or aircraft refueling applications (although a proper deadman hose should be used). NL720 is designed for use on either steam cleaner machines or a combination of steam cleaner/pressure washer machines. It will handle steam up to 3250F @ 350 psi with a safety factor in excess of 10:1. It will also handle hot water up to 2500F @ 3000 psi with a 4:1 safety factor. Its tube and cover are resistant to the chemicals used in the pressure washing and steam cleaning markets. Refer to the ‘Pressure Washer & Waterblast Section’ of this catalogue for more information.

Goodyear CB Steam is a proven, safe, reliable, heavy duty steam hose suitable up to 250 psi @ 4250F. Its wrapped cover provides superior abrasion resistance and handling integrity while its chlorobutyl tube provides excellent heat aging resistance. Together, these two properties ensure a long service life, even in rugged environments. It is commonly used in construction, foundries, steel mills, shipyards, chemical plants, and refi neries where severe abrasion can be expected and where a durable, safe, and reliable hose is required; for short jumpers we suggest using stainless braided hose assemblies. STEAM HOSE WARNING: A steam hose failure in service can result in severe injury to personnel or damage to property. Extreme care must be taken in selection and use of such a product. The following guidelines will reduce the chance of a hose or coupling failure.1) Steam hose & couplings become very hot in service, do not use at temperatures/pressures above manufacturer recommendations.2) Useinterlocking bolt type couplings on steam hose (so they can bere-tightened before EACH use) and permanent crimp fi ttings if recommended by the manufacturer; do not use couplings with rubber gaskets or light duty clamps.3) Always check for loose clamps before and after each use. Check clamps every 24 hours during long periods of continuous service.4) RMA recommends steam hoses are fully certifi ed once every 3 months for its fi rst year of service, then every month thereafter.5) Visually inspect before and after each use; cuts in the hose cover which expose the rein forcement are cause for replacement.6) Drain hose after each use; leftover condensation can popcorn the tube when put back in service. If hose cannot be drained after each use, consider using stainless braided hose. Store in a cool, dark area away from sunlight and ozone.7) For short lengths, jumpers, constantly fl exing lengths, or where the hose cannot be installed easily or drained after use, stainless braided hose should be used rather than rubber.

Our stainless steel hose can be used for super heated steam applications where a rubber hose will not stand up to the higher temperatures. It is also popular in short length, jumper applications where a rubber hose cannot be installed easily or in a permanent application where the hose typically cannot be drained after each use (rubber hoses must be drained). Due to its exposed reinforcement (braiding), stainless braided hose is not designed for abusive environments where the hose will be subjected to external wear or dragging. The external braiding increases the hose working pressure and prevents hose elongation, but it does not protect the hose from external abuse. WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH WHEN HOT! NL2515 is a cost effective rubber steam hose for use in competitive applications where our standard brand name steam hoses are not required. As with other steam hoses, this hose is designed for steam thawing, heat control, and blowout service in refi neries, shipyards, plants, and mills up to 4100F. Its smooth cover with cloth impression is resistant to heat, abrasion, ozone and weathering (lim-ited oil resistance) while its tube provides good resistance to heat aging (limited resistance to hydrocarbons or oils). For short jumper steam assemblies under 10ft, consider using stainless steel assemblies.Temperature Range: -400C (-400F) to +2100C (4100F)Construction: Tube: Black EPDM rubber. Cover: Red synthetic rubber (wrapped fi nish; pin pricked to prevent blistering). Reinforcement: Two high tensile wire braids.Typical Fittings: Interlocking bolt type coupling (ground joints). NL2520 is a “textile reinforced” steam hose (max temperature 1700C/3380F)designed specifi cally where a steel reinforcement is not suitable or desirable (standard steam hoses have a heavier steel wire reinforcement). This hose is also used with super-heated water, such as for certain cleaning operations or industrial coolant processes on machines, generators, or mobile equipment where a standard, lighter wall heater hose will collapse or kink. It is not a branded, SAE approved product for use in OEM commercial vehicles, trucks, or buses, however some users prefer its heavy duty thick wall over standard rubber heater hose.Its EPDM tube and cover is resistant to heat, ozone, anti-freeze, and weath-ering - EPDM rubber is not designed for abrasive or oily applications (Class C oil resistance).
