Do you like museums? Try: Classic Cars , Farmers Museum, Bostic Lincoln Center (we say the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln), Train Museums, Bechtler House (1 st gold coin made in USA, the press is on display) and KidSenses Children’s Interactive Museum. How about dining? We have everything from International cuisine to old country cooking (we understand it’s ok to have biscuits and gravy for breakfast while on vacation). You can experience the entire gamut from casual to formal.

WELCOME! We want your visit to this area to be memorable. There are so many wonderful things you will want to experience during you stay with us. Let’s get started with the short menu of adventures. What outdoor activities are available? You must visit our Chimney Rock State Park, a boat ride on the beautiful Lake Lure, ride a horse on our various trails, hike on any of our walking trails with breathtaking views or paddle a canoe on our waterways.
Sometime during your visit; you will want to explore our many unique shops; they have that special treas-ure you’ve been looking for. When the Day is done you may want to check out a play or concert at the Foundation of Performing Arts or perhaps you would like to take in a baseball game at McNair Field, our guys play a rather good game of baseball. While you’re here check out the community Blue Grass Festivals. Mayfest, Hot Nights Cool Rides Car Show, the Olympiad, Dragon Boat races, the old traditional Ellenboro Fair and much more.
There are more things to discover in Rutherford County than you can pack in a short visit.
