• In year three we will be continuing to practice our handwriting during guided reading sessions.

• We will be using pre cursive, printing handwriting.

HANDWRITING

• Homework will be given out on a weekly basis.

• Your child will receive on Thursday and should return before Tuesday.

• One piece of English, one Maths and one Science.

• In addition to this, spellings should be practiced (these can be found on the school newsletter).

• It would also be a great help if you can practice times tables, focusing on 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 10s.

HOMEWORK

• Each term the class will have one trip.

• The trips will be linked to the topics being covered in the term (as best as possible).

• Cost of trips will vary.

TRIPS

• The school has a new uniform and PE uniform this year.

• Reminders:

• Only stud earrings

• Sensible school shoes

• Trainers for PE days.

UNIFORM

• Each week your child will be given a new reading book from the school library.

• Books should be looked after and brought back to school each day.

READING BOOKS AND LIBRARY

• Books are used to support your child’s learning.

• Your child will receive:

• English

• Maths

• Qatar History

• If your child really needs their book at home they can take them home at the weekend.

Books must be returned on Sunday for class.

TEXT BOOKS

• School uses positive reinforcement through praise, stickers and dojo points.

• House points are also given out.

BEHAVIOUR

• Food brought to school should be healthy.

• Please do not send large bags of treats to school with your child.

• Water bottles should be brought every day.
