ILLITERACY is a big problem in our community! “. . . with LITERACY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” is the topic of a program being offered on Monday, February 25th, in Chitwood Hall. Speakers from Project Literacy US, Shelton State Adult Education, First Teachers @ Home and the FUMCT Central and MLK Elementary Schools Partnership will enlighten us on the problem and show us how we can be part of the solution. If you wish, you can bring items to donate such as: new or gently used books for all age groups, glue sticks, boxes of 8 crayons, packs of construction paper, colored markers, paper plates, child's scissors or child's toothbrushes. Children’s Ministry Architects Sessions is today and tomorrow. (Feb 17-18). Anyone interested in children’s ministries is invited to participate! There are three sessions: Feb. 17: Session 1: 12:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (lunch will be served) Session 2: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and, Feb. 18: Session 3: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please attend and provide input to our children’s ministries!
