Ave verum corpusnatum de Maria Virgine,Vere passum, immolatumin crucem pro homineCujus latus perforatum unda fluxit sanguine,Esto nobis praegustatum,In mortis examine.O Jesu dulcis, O Jesu pie,O Jesu Fili Mariae,Miserere mei. Amen.

Hail true body, born of the Virgin Mary,Who suffered and diedon the cross for mankind: From whose pierced side flowed water mixed with blood, Be to us a foretastein the trial of death:O Jesus sweet, O Jesus lovingO Jesus, Son of Mary, Have mercy on me. Amen.

Anthem A Song of Peace Charles V. Stanford (1852-1924)And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; And he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:And with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity the meek of the earth:and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,Whose mind is stayed on Thee. The darkness is no darkness with Thee,But the night is as clear as the day.The darkness and the light to Thee are both alike.God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

O let my soul live, and it shall praise Thee. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory,For evermore.Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,Whose mind is stayed on Thee.

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;and a little child shall lead them. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord,as the waters cover the sea.And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign unto the people;and his rest shall be glorious.

Anthem Bring us, O Lord God Paul Halley (b. 1952) Bring us, O Lord God,at our last awakening into the house and gate of heaven,to enter into that gate and dwell in that house, where there shall be no darkness nor dazzling, but one equal light;no noise nor silence, but one equal music;no fears nor hopes, but one equal possession;no ends nor beginnings, but one equal eternity;in the habitations of Thy glory and dominion world without end.

John DonneThe sure provisions of my GodAttend me all my days;Oh, may thy house be my abodeAnd all my works be praise. There would I find a settled rest,And gaze on thee alone; No more a stranger or a guest,But like a child at home.

Isaac Watts
