Foundation stage and use of the symbol and supporters

• Foundation stage recognition process does allow LDAA supporters to use the symbol • Working to ensure that the actions supporters commit to are

reflected in annual self-assessment • LDAAs don’t need to be co-terminus with one DFC • There are DFCs that are not registered with the recognition

process or have a LDAA but we are working to map this and promote both initiatives in tandem to get alignment

Next phase of the DFC programmes work together

•BSI project to develop a code of practice for DFCs•Task and finish groups that are part of the PM Champion Group on DFCs – e.g. guidance for retail sector, employers etc.•Promoting dementia –friendly initiatives e.g. hospitals and environments •Jointly commissioned guidance notes and resources •Contributing to DAA quarterly and Annual events and webinars
