Oshkosh Striker Delivery Helps AngolaAirport

New McNeilus Products Hit the Market Incheon International Airport receivessecond order of Oshkosh Snow Trucks

Oshkosh Striker Delivery Helps Angola Airport National Enterprise for the Operations of Airports and Air Traffic Control(ENANA) in Angola accepted delivery of two Oshkosh 6 X 6 Strikers during a hand over ceremony on October 7, 2016 at Luanda Airport. Several government officials attended the ceremony including the country’s Minister of Transports and Minister of Interior. The President of ENANA introduced their technical team that received training and certification from Oshkosh. The ceremony proceeded with a technical presentation and demonstration of the vehicles.

These vehicles will be part of the rescue and firefighting services of LuandaAirport. ENANA is responsible for the operation of Luanda Airport and is requiredto comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. As a result, the airports are required to have a total of three ARFF vehicles

with a combined water capacity of 24,300 liters. These Strikers will replace two of the Airport’s older ARFF vehicles that do notmeet the required standards. Therefore, the impact of this delivery will help Luanda Airport avoid the risk of being downgradedin the event one of these older ARFF vehicles would go out of service. A downgrade would mean the Airport would only be allowedto operate small aircraft. The United States Ambassador Helen LaLime congratulated ENANA on the acquisition of the Oshkosh Strikers andemphasized that these vehicles “will help ENANA to increase its infrastructure capacity and its continued efforts to meetICAO requirements.”
