How to Become a Business Major?

The School of Business has a competitive

admission process so it is very important to build

a strong foundation early in your academic

career.

Two-Step Process1. Declare “Pre-business” Status

Complete five skills classes Cumulative GPA > 2.25 Advised in Business Student Services

2. Submit a formal application Semester prior to enrolling in 300-level business

courses (usually in the sophomore year) Successfully complete 12 business prerequisites Admission is highly competitive

What Prerequisite Courses are Required?

►Skills Courses: Eng 101, Eng 102, Phil 106, Spc 105 and Cmis 108

►Foundation Courses: Econ 111, Econ 112, Acct 200, Math 120,

Ms 250, Hist 111b and Pols 112

►These prerequisite courses also meet general education requirements.
