Why do you need a placement test?
To build a solid foundation for academic success & to get into math & English classes that are the best fit for your personal academic preparation!

◦ Students are only allowed to work 20 hours a week
◦ The positions are flexible and the employer values education
College can be very flexible and you need to have good time management skills.
Courses are very demanding and require a lot of time and energy. Students are in classes 12-15 hours a week for 15 weeks.
Prepare to spend 540 - 675 hours in class and doing homework each semester. Study time: Students need two study hours for each hour of class.
Students can be dropped from financial aid after 1 or 2 semesters of poor academic performance.
Students must find organizations and activities of interest.
Students are held responsible for their own actions.
Students must take initiative to see an instructor for assistance.
You may only be tested at mid-semester and the final exam.
No one but you has access to your educational records.
Grades are posted online. One grade reflects the entire semester.
Attendance is the responsibility of the student. Going to class is important!

To maintain a full-time status, students should be taking 12 credits or more.

Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better
Complete a minimum of 67% of attempted classes
Complete your degree within 150% of the total credits
