WHY IS EASTER VIGIL HERE @ 6am?(slightly later ‘cos clocks change that night)
1. There is not a “vigil Mass” in St Simon ’s & therefore no ready made vigil congregation2. For those looking for an evening Easter Vigil there is one in St Peter’s at 9 pm3. When the Easter Vigil was restored (in 1958) it was intended to start at midnight4. Some groups start “very early in the morning” as in the Gospel story (Mark 16.1)5. Our neighbours are usually on way home or going to the airport about that time !
