WELCOME TO ST. LUCAS! We are glad you are here. Please fill out the I’m Here Today card in your
worship folder and drop it in the offering plate. May our Lord bless your worship with us.
CHILDCARE AREA & RESTROOMS For families with infants & toddlers there is a nursery area
in the lower church that has speakers so you may listen to the service while you attend your chil-
dren. Restrooms are also in the lower church. You may access these areas via the narthex
stairwell, stairwell by the baptismal font or elevator. MEMORIAL/HOPE CANDLES Worshipers
are invited to light candles in remembrance of a loved one or a candle of hope against some darkness in their lives.
These remain lit during the service only. Prayer intention candles are under the crucifixion side hymn board main sanctuary
for Sunday worshipers and at the pillar by the piano in the lower church for Saturday worshipers. SUNDAY SCHOOL September
-May we offer Sunday School & breakfast for kids through high school age every Sunday following the 10:30 Young People’s Homily .
FLOWER CHART FOR 2019 is posted on the narthex bulletin
board for you to request altar flowers in memory or honor of
loved ones on any Sunday through the year. $30 to place the
two vases of flowers. The star next to the date indicates the
color the flowers will for that Sunday. If no star, you get to pick
the color. Be sure to write your phone number on the line, so
the altar guild can call you your week.
2019 OFFERING ENVELOPES are on the tables in the narthex
and ready for your pick up. If you do not find a box with your
name on it and would like envelopes, please indicate on the
back of your “I’m Here Today” card.
SHARE YOUR WORSHIP EXPERIENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA:
SNAPCHAT, INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, TWITTER Please
don’t send pictures of children, but do share your worship ex-
perience via social media. Get the word out that you value
your faith community and faith in God.
USE OF CELL PHONES/TABLETS ENCOUR-
AGED DURING WORSHIP You are welcome to
use your cell phone or tablet to enhance our
shared worship experience. Sharing your faith in
real-time is cool. Phone calls are not. Texting is
fine. Check-in on Facebook. Take selfies. Share
pictures of the services and this beautiful sanctu-
ary on our Facebook page. Tell your friends and
family you are here. Invite them to join you. Post
about your experience on social media. Take vide-
os and share them freely, but please don’t take
pictures/videos of children and be careful not to disrupt the
service. Check us out on Facebook: www.facebook.com/

STEWARDSHIP MONTHLY MESSAGE READERS FOR 4PM &
8:30 SERVICES Sign up sheet at each service to read a mes-
sage for a given month. Schedule runs through December.
Please sign up to serve!
LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE OVER THE ACTS OF
ST. LUCAS NEWSLETTER If you work in MSWord or MSPu-
blisher you can do this. We will set up a template so you can
insert the monthly information. And if you do it a little at a time
during the month, it is easy to maintain. It is important to chron-
icle the events and data to maintain records for generations to
come. Someone has been doing this for as long as this congre-
gation has existed and we feel it is important to continue.
THE THRIFT SHOP WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY
CLOTHING OR OTHER DONATIONS UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE We are completely full in our sorting room AND
the Thrift Shop. We are grateful for your contributions but
at this time we are “stocked full”. Please be patient. I will
get back to you as soon as we are able to move in the sort-
ing room. Please be aware our donation policy has
changed: we cannot accept donations that are anonymously
left on our doorstep for health and safety reasons. All dona-
tions left outside our door will be disposed of. We will begin
again in January our 50% sales on Fridays. God Bless
You. Joyce Mason
ANNOUNCING RON BACON AS THE NEW ADMINISTRA-
TOR OF THE SCRIP PROGRAM Please give your orders to
Ron at 10:30 service and see him for purchase on any Sun-
day of Walmart, Kroger, Speedway, Circle K, and Meijer
cards, which we keep on hand. See Kate Glad-
ieux at 4pm worship and Carmen Ball at 8:30 ser-
vice to place orders or purchase “on hand” cards.
Thanks to Ron for taking over this important pro-
gram for St. Lucas. Remember proceeds from the
Scrip program go to the Sunday School Window
Fund. Last year Scrip raised $3500 to help pay
off the new windows for the Sunday School.
