In the back of the chairs you will find Prayer cards for your prayer requests and Communication cards (one per family) to register your worship attendance and note any contact information changes, including new e-mail addresses. Prayer cards will be collected by the ushers during the first song. Communication cards may be placed in the offering plate as it is passed. A friendly reminder to all, please silence all devices. Prayer support is available at the front after each service. In today’s service we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Please review the card in the seat backs in preparation for this holy event. Gluten-free wafers and alcohol-free wine are available at each station. If you need communion served at your seat, assistance getting to and from your seat or any other assistance during worship, please speak with an usher or the Elder of the Day prior to the service. Women’s Ministry “Thankful Home” Craft Night Thursday, November 8,
in the Kidz Connection at 6:00 p.m. As much fun as a paint night, we will be creating a wooden “Thankful” sign/wall hanging. Food, fun and all the supplies are provided. Today is the last day to sign-up at the Women’s Ministry Kiosk.
Adventures in Missions Sunday, November 18, 9:30-11:45 a.m. in the court-yard. Come and checkout all

Tanzania Student Sponsors Still Needed for children to attend Makumira-Kilala English Medium School, our Lutheran school in Usa
River, Tanzania. For the 2019 school year, which starts in January, we have 12 children who need sponsors. Please take some time to prayerfully consider if you could be a sponsor. Congregational Meeting Sunday, December 9, immediately following the 10:00 a.m. service. The meeting agenda will include
the election of President and two members-at-large to the Board of Directors. Pictures and biographies of the candidates nominated will be posted Sunday, November 18 in both lobbies.

We are offering an opportunity to worship Wednesday, November 21, 6:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Invite your family and friends to join us for this
service! Each family is asked to bring a bag or two of non-perishable groceries. During the service, everyone will be invited to bring the groceries forward and place them in front of the altar. We will then dedicate them, asking the Lord to multiply these gifts to feed the hungry. The food offerings will be donated to The Mission at Kern County. There are no services Thanksgiving Day.
Show God’s Love at Thanksgiving! Arvin Thanksgiving Blessings HIS is partnering with SJVOF to feed the needy in Arvin at Thanksgiving.
We are seeking donations for our Thanksgiving Blessing boxes for St. John’s Valley of Faith. Our target is 40 families who are identified as the most needy in the community. Visit the HIS Kiosk for a list of items needed and to sign-up. The food boxes will be distributed on Saturday, November 17. Please return food donations to the HIS Kiosk by Sunday, November 11.
