It’s a great place to get information or find out about current activities. In the back of the chairs you will find Prayer cards for your prayer requests and Communication cards (one per family) to register your worship attendance and note any contact information changes, including new e-mail addresses. Prayer cards will be collected by the ushers during the first song. Communication cards may be placed in the offering plate as it is passed. A friendly reminder to all, please silence all devices. HIS Ministry has been asked to reach out to the members of
St. John’s for donations of rice, dried beans and potatoes for Arvin SJVOF food baskets. These will be made available to the residents as an outreach project on July 15, in conjunction with CAPK (Community Action Partnership of Kern). They are requesting the largest packages, up to 5 pounds, be donated and they are asking for 35-50 bags of each. If you find it on your heart to donate, it would be a blessing to the residents of Arvin. Donations can be brought to the HIS Kiosk or the Admin. Office by Thursday, July 12. Missions Update! Please keep our short term missionary, Kimberlee Willey, in your prayers as she serves in Romania and
Poland using her God given gifts to teach young people about Jesus. On July 22, 16 participants of St. John’s Scotland Mission Team will be commissioned at both worship services. Please keep them in your prayers as they plan to go and assist the Perry Family Ministry working in Stirling, Scotland.

The St. John’s SCRIP program continues all year, even during the summer. You can purchase scrip at the school office during the week or at the Information
Center between services only on Sunday. SCRIP is face value gift cards. You purchase SCRIP as gift cards from local and national retailers and restaurants. Why use SCRIP? It is easy and a percentage of every purchase of SCRIP comes back to support our School and Children’s Center.
