Thousands of Shell employees, as well as employees of other oil and gascompanies, have visited Robert since we first opened our doors in 1987. We are pleased you have selected us for your training and/or meeting needs.

NEED LODGING?

Dormitory-style lodging accommodations are available onsite at RTCC. It is our customary

practice to lodge two people to a room. However, when available, we will assign each

person their own room. We book bedrooms on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Accommodations are reserved for those attending a training class or an event scheduled at

RTCC only. We cannot reserve accommodations for spouses, partners or family members

of our guests. No pets allowed.

Bedrooms are equipped with a lockable armoire for each student’s personal items. Keys should

be returned to the armoire before checking out. RTCC supplies body wash and towels.

Students should bring their own health and beauty aids and hair dryers.

To request or edit lodging reservations, please forward your request to RTC-Lodging@Shell.com,

985-543-1271.

Lodging assignments are posted on the bulletin board in the Willow Residential Hall.

Key cards can be obtained from the Willow Receptionist during normal business hours,

the Head Steward after hours until 7pm, and RTCC Security after 7pm.

For lodging assistance during normal business hours, 8am – 5pm, call 985-543-1271.

For additional assistance, or in the absence of our Lodging Coordinator, call 985-543-3399

or the Main Office at 985-543-1200.

UPON ARRIVAL

There is no formal check-in for guests arriving the day before a class or meeting. You will be

asked to sign the attendance roster in the classroom the day of the event.

There is a receptionist on duty during normal working hours in our main buildings for assistance:

Oak Learning Center, Magnolia Conference Center and Willow Residential Hall. There is also

a kiosk with the daily schedule and assigned lunch times in the Oak and Magnolia buildings.

The main lodging quarters building is Willow Residential Hall. It is the second brick building

on the left after you cross the stop sign. The Pine Residential Hall is located across the street

from this building and is our overflow lodging facility.

If you arrive before 4:30 pm, there will be an RTCC Admin Staff available to assign your room

and give you your room key card. If you arrive after this time, the Galley Head Stewart or the

Security Guard will be your point of contact.

Note that smoking is only allowed in designated areas. Please look for signs indicating

these areas.

The entrance gate will be locked daily from 11 pm to 4 am. To gain access, call the

RTCC Security Guard at 985-507-8554.

In case of fire, our number one concern is for the safety of all personnel. We have two fire

alarm systems. The Willow and Pine Residential Hall buildings are 2 blasts, then repeat.

The Oak Learning and Magnolia Conference Center buildings are 1 blast, then repeat.

PRIMARY EXIT = DOOR ALTERNATE EXIT = WINDOW

Prior to evacuating, feel door before opening it. If it is warm or if smoke is seeping through

the openings, keep it closed and use the window as an alternate route.

As you pass other bedrooms, either by the inside or outside, wake anyone who may be

asleep. Do not waste too much time as they may already be out.

Proceed to designated meeting place or muster area closest to the exit.

A member of the RTCC staff will count heads and direct appropriate action. RTCC Staff

are housed in Room N101 of the Willow Residential Hall and in Room 132 of the

Pine Residential Hall.

The speed limit on Shell Lane is 17 mph.

The speed limit in Shell parking areas is 5 mph.

Please back into parking space.

Be careful not to block the sideway by backing in too far.

Casual dress is appropriate on campus. No cutoffs, tank tops, sleeveless shirts oropen-toed shoes allowed.

Safety shields must be worn during the valve portion of Basic Production Safety Systems (T2).

Hard hats, gloves, safety glasses and steel toe shoes must be worn for the hands-onexercises of the Crane & Rigger classes.

An extra set of clothes or swimsuit is needed for Huet training. RTC will provide towels,coveralls and water shoes for pool exercises.

First aid supplies and AED equipment are located in the receptionist areas of all buildingsand in both cafeterias.

No illegal drugs, alcohol or firearms allowed on the property.

Smoking only allowed in designated areas. Look for signs identifying areas.

Fresh fruit, popcorn, cookies, dessert and soft-serve low-fat yogurt are available at any time.

Coffee, sweet and regular tea, soft drink dispensers with sugar-free options, and ice areavailable at any time.

All meats prepared by Sonoco Catering are USDA choice and trimeed of excess fat beforecooking.

All poultry and dairy products are grade “A”.

All pastry products are prepared with fresh 2% milk and pure vegetable shortening.

A fresh, chilled salad bar is available during lunch and evening meals.

Pancakes and “customized” omelets available daily at breakfast by request at the kitchen window.

A guest computer room is located in the northwest corner of the Willow Residential Hall with free wireless internet service and GID and non-GID computers. Password information can be found on the bulletin board near the reception area.

Basketball - half court play - west end of student parking lot behind the Robert Café.

Jogging/walking – from south corner of Willow Residential Hall to Hwy 445 and back is approximately 1 mile.

Volleyball – a volleyball court is painted onto the basketball court. There are hole covers on the court where the volleyball net should be installed to play.

Fishing in the two SRTCC ponds. Fishing poles are located in thegazebo near the Metocean Facility.

FITNESS AND RECREATION

Heated swimming pool available after hours for recreational swimming.RULES: Buddy System - Minimum of 2 people when using the pool.

Televisions are available in the Robert Café (main dining hall), Robert Bistro (Magnolia Building) and thelodge area of the Willow Residential Halls. TV’s are also located in each bedroom of both lodging quarters buildings.

Workout facilities are located in the southwest corner of the Willow Building (new quarters).a. Do not consume alcohol before working out.b. Please read ground rules before working out.c. Drink plenty of water.

Pool table, foosball table, ping pong table, X-box, dominos, checkers, playing cards, chess, bumper pool and shuffle board gaming equipment are located in the lodge and game room areas of the WillowResidential Hall. Additional gaming facilities are located on the second floor, in the open area above the lodge.

Movie DVD’s are located near the fireplace in the lodge area of the Willow Residential Hall. X-box DVD’s must be checked out/in from the Magnolia Conference Center Receptionist during normal working hours and from the RTC Security Guard after 7.
