EQUIPMENTAppropriate Gear and Protective Equipment

It is a FIFA Law of the Game all players should not wear anything that is dangerous to them or any other player. Including:

• Caps/hats with hard brims • Plaster or fibreglass casts• Jewellery (no taping)

Skins are now allowed – Must be same colour as shorts (black).

• Boots & shin-guards fully covered by socks• Referees WILL check.• Additionally shin-guards and boots are

required to be worn for all training sessions and it is suggested players remove jewellery for training sessions.

FIELD SETUPField Setup

• The club needs the help of all teams in setting up the fields for play

• Please make sure you get your team parents to assist in set up/pack up

• Do not allow any child to swing from the goal posts as there have been fatalities from people doing so in the past

• Dogs are banned from all ACT sportsgrounds – their presence could result in fines from the Rangers

Player Injuries - First AidThere are first aid kits at our home grounds and some Club officials are first aid qualified or sports trainers.• DO NOT pick up/move an injured player.• If you suspect a fracture, leave the

player where they are.• If a Neck/Back injury is suspected the

player MUST NOT BE MOVED• Have someone stay with any injured player

to reassure them, make as comfortable as possible

• Any significant injury MUST BE written on the match record.

MATCH RECORDS / RESULTSMatch Records and Reporting Results

U12 - U18 Coaches/Managers need to complete a match card and return to Harrison each week.

The record is in triplicate – green copy to the away team, white for Capital Football (CF) and blue for home team.

• WHITE & BLUE MUST go to the Points Registrar and they all should be filled out in accordance with the CF Junior League Regulations on match records.

• If required, Match records are available from the Grounds Official at Harrison.

JUNIOR LEAGUE REGULATIONSCapital Football Regulations • Coaches/Managers are obliged to adhere to the

rules and regulations of the Junior League – These can be found on the CF & GUFC websites – further details in the Coaching Manual.

• The Junior League imposes financial penalties on clubs who do not comply with these regulations.

Some examples of breaches to the regulations:• Walk-off by a team• Late or lost match records or failure to report

match results• Forfeiting of a game and • Failure to keep spectators in check

REFEREE APPOINTMENT / FEEDBACKAppointment of Referees• The GUFC Referee Coordinator will appoint a

qualified referee to home games.• If no referee is appointed follow instructions in

Coaching Manual.

Assist the Referees• Coaches and Managers are asked to give full

assistance to referees, both on and off the field. • Coaches and Managers should not criticise

referee decisions or officials at the field. There is a dispute feedback process USE IT!

• Use the Referee Evaluation Form from Coaching Manual Appendix and send it to the GUFC Referee Coordinator - Andrew Preston at [email protected].

GUFC COACHES MEETINGREFEREE MATCH FEES

Referee Match Payments – U10 to 18• Coaches of U10-U18 teams need to pay referee match fees,

they are the JOINT responsibility of each club involved. Each coach/manager pays half of the fee BEFORE the game.

• You MUST only pay officially qualified game appointed referees and assistant referees, who are wearing their official CF referee uniform and should have their FFA number available.

Payment System• Advancement of referee's match fees is organised through

bank transfer. • Coaches/managers MUST keep a Referee Match Fee

Payment Record, which is completed before every game• Remaining funds must be returned at the end of the season.
