Welcome to Cavy 10:15am — Paul Caldwell leads us Dunedin Red Cross Choir visiting The story continues…..and reaches Africa Many people contributed to the preparation for Dorothy Marsdens funeral service on Tuesday. From preparing and cleaning the church to preparing the afternoon tea, Team Caversham Baptist worked really well. Thank you for that and I know Bill and Dorothys family are grateful for all you did. At the present time it looks as though Bill will shift to Invercargill to be near his daughter Elizabeth. Both my pride and my principles demand no less. However, although I make no guarantees that I will be able to forget what you've done, and though we may both carry the scars for life, I refuse to let it stand between us. I still want you for my friend.TO ACCEPT FORGIVENESS means to admit that you've done something unspeakable that needs to be forgiven, and thus both parties must swallow the same thing: their pride. Pastoral Care Team Meeting

Our next meeting is Thursday 3rd May 7.30pm downstairs at church.

Are you wondering who is on this team? Roly and Trudy Scott, Robyn Boyd, Ebony James, Colin Dobie, David Crosbie (Croz), David Goodman, Noelene Cook, Elizabeth James, Glenys Geytenbeek, Mark Davies and Karene Scott.

Are you wondering what we do? Some of the things we do are visit/phone and pray for church people in their homes or in hospital, visit and take communion to those who can no longer come to church (e.g. those in rest homes), arrange shared meals and events to foster community within our church (e.g. soup Sunday, church concert, hymn-along, church picnic) and dream up ways of pastorally caring for people.

Voices for the Earth - Climate Change Seminar - Sun 29 April, 2-5pm Are you interested in exploring some Christian perspectives about Climate Change? Join others at Opoho Presbyterian Church, 50 Signal Hill Road. Afternoon tea provided.
