English Language Arts

English - On-level, preAP, and preAP/GT English classes follow a spiraling scope and sequence. Objectives are organized into the following strands: reading, writing, research, speaking and listening, and oral and written conventions. Resources include Holt McDougal Literature, WriteSource, Empowering Writers and a variety of novel studies.

Read 180 – intensive, individualized reading intervention program incorporating instructional software, high-interest literature, and direct instruction in reading and writing skills

Intervention – accelerated instruction utilizing small groups and instructional software to ensure grade level reading and writing skills
