Dear Parishioners, Today is Divine Mercy Sunday. The Sunday after Easter Sunday is always celebrated as the Divine Mercy Sunday. God is love, yes. But love that stoops to weakness, poverty, suffering, and sin- fulness is mercy. Because we are weak and sinful, the Lord shows his love to us as mercy. We are completely undeserving of God's love, but he gives it to us anyway because truly he is merciful. Mercy was the very first thing that Jesus showed to his disciples who abandoned him in his greatest need and he showed that to them by saying, "Peace be with you." - not once but three times with Thomas being there on the third time. And then Jesus com- missioned his disciples to grant mercy to others when he said: "Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them..." Brothers and sisters, we too have received God's mercy in the for- giveness of our sins. Let us then, do our best to respond to this commission of Jesus Christ for us to pass on that mercy to other people too. Let us show mercy to one another as we give for- giveness and show acts of compassion for each other. It is with hope that as we do this, as we become persons of mercy, others - even those who are not believers - will become persons of mercy as well. Let us continue to pray for one another and for our whole world. This afternoon at 3:00pm, I would like to invite you to pray with me before the Blessed Sacrament. We will have a Holy Hour, dur- ing which, we will pray the Divine Mercy chaplet. We will end the Holy Hour with a Benediction at 4:00pm. Together let us im- plore God to end the coronavirus pandemic and heal our world. Together let us say, "Jesus, I trust in you." In Christ, Fr. Maro. Dear Parishioners,
Today is Divine Mercy Sunday. The Sunday after Easter Sunday is always celebrated as the Divine Mercy Sunday. God is love, yes. But love that stoops to weakness, poverty, suffering, and sin-

Estimados feligreses,
Hoy es Domingo de la Divina Misericordia. El domingo siguiente al Domingo de Resurrección se celebra siempre como Domingo de la Divina Misericordia. Dios es amor, sí. Pero el amor que se inclina ha-cia la debilidad, la pobreza, el sufrimiento y el pecado es misericordia. Debido a que somos débiles y pecadores, el Señor nos muestra su amor como misericordia. Somos completamente indignos del amor de Dios, pero él nos lo da de todos modos porque verdaderamente es misericor-dioso.
La misericordia fue lo primero que Jesús mostró a sus discípulos que lo abandonaron en su mayor necesidad y se lo mostró al decir: "La paz sea con ustedes". - no una, sino tres veces con Thomas estando allí la tercera vez. Y luego Jesús comisionó a sus discípulos a brindar miseri-cordia a los demás cuando dijo: "A los que perdonan los pecados, les son perdonados ..."
Hermanos y hermanas, también nosotros hemos recibido la misericor-dia de Dios en el perdón de nuestros pecados. Entonces, hagamos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para responder a esta comisión de Jesucristo para que podamos transmitir esa misericordia a otras personas también. Seamos misericordiosos los unos a los otros al perdonar y mostrarnos actos de compasión los unos por los otros. Tenemos la esperanza de que al hacer esto, al convertirnos en personas de misericordia, otros, incluso aquellos que no son creyentes, se convertirán también en per-sonas de misericordia. Sigamos orando los unos por los otros y por nuestro mundo entero.
Esta tarde a las 3:00 pm, me gustaría invitarlos a orar conmigo ante el Santísimo Sacramento. Tendremos una Hora Santa, durante la cual rezaremos la coronilla de la Divina Misericordia. Terminaremos la Hora Santa con una Bendición a las 4:00 pm. Juntos imploremos a Dios que ponga fin a la pandemia del coronavirus y sane nuestro mun-do. Juntos digamos: "Jesús, en ti confío".
