What is a High School CREDIT?
▶ One semester-long class equals 0.5 credit▶ If you pass all 8 classes in one semester, how many credits will
you earn for the semester?
▶ 4.0 credits▶ So how many credits can you earn in one year (2 semesters)?
▶ 8.0 credits▶ How many credits can you earn in 4 years?
▶ 32.0 credits

Can I waive PE?
▶ 4 semesters of Physical Education (2.0 credits) is required for graduation by the Monroe School District.
▶ Students may apply to waive up to 2 semesters of P.E. (1.0 credits) for participation in a Monroe high school sport
1 sport season = .5 credits

✓ Administration and Counseling will review packet and then contact parent and student to set up an appointment with counselor to register for classes at the end of the school year
✓ Counseling Office will schedule a new student tour

$84,000 in local community scholarships and $7,000,000 in offers, grants, and awards total.
● 494 students with a 3.5 GPA or higher 1st Semester (18-19)
● Regional Solo/Ensemble: Five solos and four ensembles took first place and qualified for State.
