SCHOOL UNIFORM• Neatly attired at all times.
• Hair must be neatly trimmed or tied up with brown or black accessories.
• Male students must be neat in appearance, clean-shaven and no facial hair is allowed.
• For girls, only simple ear studs are allowed for safety reasons.
• Modification of uniform is not allowed.
SCHOOL SHOES AND SUN HAT
Black Sports Shoes ONLY.School socks or white socks that are above the ankles.School socks and shoes can be purchased from the uniform supplier.
Sun hat can be purchased from the uniform supplier. It is used during Learning Journeys or students can use it on the way home on sunny days.
ATTENDANCE
• Students are expected to be regular in their attendance.
• Late-coming after 7.30 am is a school offence.
• School will follow up with parents if child has been late more than 3 times a term.
• School will not grant permission for vacation before term ends.
ABSENCE FROM SCHOOLCall Office (Tel: 6562-4370) before 7.30 am and inform Office Staff of absence and child’s particulars
oChild to submit the medical certificate or letter from parents upon returning to school.
For flu, HFMD, chicken pox and other infectious illnesses• exercise social and personal responsibility

USE OF MOBILE PHONE
• Students should avoid bringing a mobile phone.
• Students may use the public phones at the canteen or ask for assistance at the General Office.
• If a student needs to bring a mobile phone for communicating with parents, it should only be used with permission from teachers and only outside the General Office (Meeting Place)

NATIONAL ANTHEM
Students who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge.
Students will clench their right fists to the left side of their chests while reciting the pledge, as a gesture to symbolise loyalty to the nation.

• Temperature-taking (ensure your child has a working thermometer)
• Check-in on well-being of students
• Fixed seating in classroom and canteen (P1s and P2s eat in the canteen in alternate weeks)
• Wipe-down routines
• Staggered recess and dismissal
• Unwell students must not attend school and should seek medical attention

MORNING DROP-OFF• Students should enter the school via the side gates (Gates A & B).
• Only authorised school buses are allowed to enter the school compound.
• Parents who choose to drive their children to the school should alight at the drop-off points only.
• Please do not block the main gate so that other vehicles can turn into the school safely.
• All motorists must keep to the speed limit of 15km/h within the school compound and follow the directions given by the security guards and Operations Support Officers.
• Parents should not leave their cars unattended during drop off/pick up.

COMMUNICATING WITH TEACHERS• Communication and engagement with staff to be kept within school hours from 7.00 a.m. –
5.30 p.m. during the school terms.
• The modes of communication will be limited to :
o Email
o Message in the student’s organizer
o Message left with staff at the General Office
• Appointments for face-to-face meetings with staff should be made at least 3 days in advance to avoid disappointments and minimize disruption to their schedule.
• As a general guide to response time to ensure that queries are well-addressed, we will follow the guidelines below:
o 3 working days (general query)
o 7 working days (query requires some investigation)
o 21 working days (query with complexities)
CONTACTING DURING EMERGENCIES
• Kindly ensure that contact numbers are updated at all times.• Inform us of any pre-existing medical condition as
diagnosed by doctor.• Indicate clearly “what will happen i.e. symptoms”,
“whether life threatening” and “what action is needed”.
PICKING UP YOUR CHILD EARLY• If your child is unwell, our office staff will contact you to pick up your
child. Your child will not be allowed to leave on his / her own.• Register at the Guard House and wear the visitor label for
identification
• Please report to the General Office where our staff will assist you.
• Do not go straight to the classroom as the Classroom Blocks are strictly out of bounds to all visitors.
• You will be issued with a slip “Permission To Leave School Early”. Do pass this slip to the security guards when you leave.
STUDENT PROTECTION PLAN
•MOE provides basic insurance coverage for students for immediate help during emergencies.
• Parents are encouraged to take up insurance beyond the school’s insurance coverage.
PHOTOS / VIDEOS OF STUDENTS
• The school will take photographs / videos of students during school events / competitions. These will be used on our website and Facebook page as well as school magazine.
• If you do not wish your child to be featured in these materials, please inform the school via the Form Teacher.
