John is a native of Maryland and began his ministry at Fallston on July 1, 2010. Prior to being at Fallston, John served as the District Superintendent to the reestablished United Methodist Church in Lithuania, as a missionary. John and his wife Bonnie (also a pastor) served as missionaries in Alaska for 15 years in addition to appointments in the Baltimore Washington Conference. John is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, has two Masters degrees from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio and did post graduate course work at Wesley Seminary.

He loves music, camping, traveling, reading and the movies. In his work as a missionary he has a special admiration for the “connecting” aspects of the United Methodist Church around the globe. He is also passionate about his preaching and teaching role as a pastor and likes the administrative work of the church and working in a team setting. His wife Bonnie serves as the pastor of the Presbury United Methodist Church in Edgewood. They are parents of 4 children and 7 grandchildren and are happy to be much closer to all of them since their return from Lithuania.
