WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT TODAY? Prayer. It’s a buzz word used throughout churches and by Chris-tians around the world, but what is it? Is there a right way to do it? Is there a wrong way to do it? What’s the point? Does God actually hear them? We invite you to be a part of our 6-week conversation on the topic of ‘Prayer’ – from January 7 through February 11, led by Pastor Mike. Hear what truths the Scriptures offer us about prayer and how to make it a part of your life.

HAVE KIDS? For parents with children age 0 to 36 months, we invite you to bring your kids to our ‘First Steps of Faith Nursery’ –

located in The Gathering Place just off the sanctuary – where your child will be checked in and loved on during the service! We also invite all children 3 years old through TK to our time of Children & Worship. Children will be dismissed during the service and can be picked up in the C&W room in the lower level following the service. From 9:45 until 10:35, we invite children of all ages, as well as adults, to our education hour between our morning services in the lower level. Parents, you can drop your child off in the FLC (located by the main entry), and pick them up in the Parent Waiting Area in the lower level. Our Adult classes also meet in the lower level.

IS THAT COFFEE I SMELL? We invite you to a time of fellowship immediately follow-ing the service in The Gathering Place! Grab a cup of coffee or juice and a baked goodie and find a place to share in fellowship and conversation!

• Faith Family: Thank you for the visits, calls, cards, flowers, plants,

plaques, words of encouragement, memorial funds, and especially

your prayers after the passing of our Dad. It is truly a blessing to live a

Christian community that cares. Wade & Jan

• Please keep Karen Timmer in your prayers as she is recovering from

knee replacement surgery. She is at Hull Rehab.

• Pray for peace and clarity for Karlynn Kleinhesselink. She had a biopsy

done earlier this week and is very likely to be having surgery in the

near future.

• Please keep praying for Henry VandeStroet. He is recovering from

surgery at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls.

• Please uphold Brett Roby in your prayers. Brett’s mom, Cheryl Barber

passed away.

• Please also remember to keep the Daale family in your prayers. Pray

for good health and continued growth for baby McKenzie.

• Please keep Laura Albrecht in your prayers. She is at Avera Hospital in

Sioux Falls battling infection.

• Please be in prayer for Terry VanBeek whose business suffered dam-

age because of a fire.

• Also remember our fire-fighters and emergency service volunteers.

We are grateful for their service to our community!

• Prayerfully remember those serving our country. They include
