Powder Puff
Powder Puff is March 9 at Springs football field at 7pm. This is a great night of fun! Don’t miss it
and be sure to get your ticket at lunch March 3-9. Also make sure to buy $1 vote for your
Powder Puff Teacher King & Queen. The Court is Coach Moore, Mr. Thomas, Coach B, Mr. Roussel, Mr. Schreiber, Mrs. Brauer, Mrs. Thibodeaux, Mrs. Willner, Mrs. LaFoy, and Ms. Kern. Vote at lunch, with any of those teachers or any Senior Officer.
Powder Puff
Powder Puff is March 9 at Springs football field at 7pm. Freshman and
Sophomores listen up. The class that buys more tickets at lunch on March 3,
4 & 7 that classes officers will be the flag runners for the game! So come
have a great time at the game by buying a $5 ticket and prove which
class is better, the freshmen or sophomores!
United Way
Are you interested in being an officer in the INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED
Student United Way? Come to the next meeting on Wed, March 30 @2:45pm in Mrs. Cotton’s Room (1234) to get more
information.
4th Annual CSHS Car Show
Come out and Support the 4th annual CSHS Car Show this Saturday March 5th from 7:30-1:00. The first 50 cars get a
goody bag and shirt. If you or someone you know has a cool car come out and support the Auto and AG classes this
Saturday Morning.
Co-Op Program

Photos Needed for Yearbook
Do you surf, skate or play video games? Cheer, bowl or take Karate?
The yearbook staff wants your pictures of “games that you play” outside of school. Bring your photos on a flash
drive to Room 1730 and we’ll use them on the Games People Play page in the yearbook. Questions? See Ms.

PAL Interest Meeting
If you would like to a PAL for the 2016-2017 School year, then you are required to attend a PAL Interest meeting in order to apply. The PAL Interest Meetings are Monday 2/29 at 2:45pm in the cafeteria
and at 6:45am in room 1120 3/1 and 3/2. You must attend a meeting to even be
considered for the PAL program.

The ASL Honor Society group picture will be this Thursday, March 3, at 2:50 in the

DECAA huge congratulations to the following students

Springboard
Scholars, Springboard has begun! Springboard is an after tutorial, tutorial program. Springboard
is in the library every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15 - 4:30. You can receive Math and ELA
support on Tuesdays and Science support on Thursdays. The best part: all Springboard
students can take the Springboard bus home! Pick up an application from any pod secretary.
For questions, visit Mr. Clark in room 2519.
Missing LaptopStudents, if you have lost your laptop
please let the Laptop Tech in the library know as soon as possible. Also, teachers if a laptop has been left
behind in your classroom please return it to the Laptop Tech as soon as
possible.
Dual Credit Field Trip
Attention Sophomores and Juniors - Have you turned in your Field Trip Form to attend the
Dual Credit Academy at College of the Mainland? If not, please do so today to secure
your spot on the Field Trip. If you have lost your Form, please come by the College Center to pick up a new one. We must have the Field Trip Form so that you can participate in this off
campus event.

Seniors - we need you to log in to Navianceand complete your Career Day Speaker Request Survey by Monday, February
29th. We would like for you to pick which speakers you want to hear on Career Day, so please complete the survey by Monday,
February 29th.
Attention Dual Credit Students: If you have selected Dual Credit for next school year, then please stop by the College Center and sign up for assistance with your application. College
of the Mainland will be here on Tuesday, March 22nd and Wednesday, March 23rd to
help you apply online. This is the first step to secure your spot for Dual Credit classes next year, so stop by and sign up for one of these
days.

Attention Juniors! The Junior Candy Fundraiser Candy has arrived! Come
by the 1100 POD secretary desk, room 1102 to sign out a box or two today. Sale ends on May 6th. Don’t
wait till the last minute to be eligible for a free Prom ticket and other
prizes!
Lost and FoundReminder, the lost and found office is with Ms. Diaz in the senior pod. Please see Ms. Diaz or Ms. Coates if you have a lost item.
Lost and found items in the cafeteria will be collected every Friday. All lost and found
items not claimed by the end of each month will be donated to Goodwill. If you have a lost item, please come and describe it so we can reunite you with your sad, lost, and dejected property. It missed you, please come claim it
and make it feel loved again.

Girls Soccer
Congratulations to both girls Girls JV Black and Varsity soccer teams. They defeated Clear Lake on Friday night.
Charger Track Congrats to our JV Lady Charger Track Team for
winning the team title at last Thursday's meet at Creek scoring 160 pts & to the following Varsity athletes for
winning individual events at Friday's meet @ Falls. Naomi Taylor- 100 Hurdles (TXmilesplit- US
Second Team standard), Keeteria Hentz- High Jump (tied school record), and Aubrey Thompson- Pole
Vault. Sarah White also received the TXmilesplit- US Second Team standard with her time in the 100 meter
dash. Charger Track & Field will be back in action Saturday at the Annual Gator Relays in Dickinson.
Water PoloCongratulations to our Clear Springs water
polo teams who started their season off this weekend. The girls Finished 3rd in the
tournament with big wins over Pearland, Lamar, Friendswood, and Clear Brook. The boys team took home 5th with wins over Pearland, Lamar, and Brazoswood. Both
teams will look to continue their success as they travel to manvel to take on Manvel in
District Play 2/29 at 5:00 pm.
Cheer/Mascot Tryouts
Interested in trying out for cheer or mascot? Candidates must come to a MANDATORY parent and candidate
meeting Wednesday, March 2nd in the cafeteria at 6pm!
Boys SoccerBoy’s Soccer won their 5th game in a row last Friday against Clear Lake 4-0. It was also their
3rd shutout in a row. Goals were scored by Dominic Wood, Christian Nelson and 2 by Seth Porter. Dominic Wood, Christian Nelson and
Connor Harris each had an assist. The shutout was made possible by an outstanding defensive
effort led by Ivan Adams, Josh Essary, Carter Roark, Stephen Serghiou and Goalkeeper
Ashton Rose. Great job!
Cheer ClinicThe cheerleaders will be hosting
a cheer clinic on March 5th grades 6th-12th. See a
cheerleader or Coach Traina for registration information!
