Welcome to Brevard!

Cycle North Carolina is excited to host the 2019 CNC Mountain Ride in Brevard, NC and Transylvania

County, the Cycling Capital of the South. We would like to thank our local partners at the

Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce and the Transylvania County Tourism Development

Authority for all of their hard work with helping us plan a great cycling weekend in the Land of

Waterfalls. Below are some links for things to do in the area and a schedule of activities for the

2019 Cycle North Carolina Mountain Ride. Visit Rider Services, or the Brevard local booth at Brevard

College if you have any questions, or need any assistance during the event.

Weekend Schedule

Friday, August 2nd

10am Cycle NC Campsite at Brevard College opens for set up – At 10 a.m. you may begin

setting up your camping area (outdoor and indoor) in the designated areas only. Access

(parking, camping, etc.) to Brevard College is not permitted until 10 a.m. on Friday,

August 2nd, so please DO NOT arrive at Brevard College before 10 a.m. on August 2nd.

Parking will also be available beginning at 10 a.m. on August 2nd.

10am-5pm Cycle NC Rider Services and Check-in Open

Check-in opens at the Cycle NC Rider Services located at Brevard College (1 Brevard

College Dr). Check-in and Rider Services will be open from 10am to 5pm. You will

receive your event wristband that must be worn at all times during the weekend. You will

also receive your official ride t-shirt. Cycle North Carolina merchandise will be available

for purchase.

10am-5pm Explore Brevard Local Welcome Booth Open

The local welcome booth will provide participants with local information, area maps,

restaurant information, weekend activities and local discounts. Stop by the local welcome

booth at Brevard College to get information about what the Brevard area has to offer

when you are not riding.

9:30am-1:30pm Killer Bees Honey Bee Farm and Tasting Tour

Tour the most sought-after falls in the area along with natural and cultural history PLUS a

3pm Tune Up Ride with the Route Developers

Get ready for the weekend with a tuneup ride on a different route than offered all

weekend! This ride is free to all participants, and will be marked and led by the route

developers. The ride will begin and end at the Brevard College campsite.

4:30pm-6:00pm Piccolo Opera

5pm-7pm Cycle NC Welcome Reception

The official welcome reception for the 2019 CNC Mountain Ride will be hosted by Explore

Brevard at the DFR Room in Downtown Brevard. Come join the Cycle NC staff and the

Explore Brevard representatives as we celebrate the start of the 2019 CNC Mountain Ride

weekend. Your first beer is free! Enjoy live music (band members from Pretty Little Goat

will perform!) and great pub food will be available for purchase, or you can grab your beer

and walk to one of the many restaurants nearby!

5:30pm-8:30pm Cruise then Booze Paddle

2-hour dusk paddle followed by Oskar Blues Brewery Tour, $, 21+,

6pm-9pm Friday Night Jamboree at Lake Toxaway Community Center

Dinner begins at 6pm and music jam begins at 7pm. Come enjoy mountain music,

Saturday, August 3rd

6:30am-8:30am Optional Breakfast on Campus at Myers Dining Hall

Enjoy a full breakfast at the Myers Dining Hall. $7.50 per person. Menu: Omelet Bar

available, Denver Scrambled Eggs with Cheese, scrambled eggs, biscuits/gravy, oatmeal

with brown sugar, cheddar grits, breakfast potatoes, bacon, pancakes with syrup, assorted

pastries, bananas, apples, oranges, juice, coffee, decaf, soft drinks, milk.

8am-5pm Cycle NC Rider Services and Check-in Open

The Cycle NC Mountain Ride Social for all registered participants will be located at on

campus at Myers Dining Hall. A vegetarian and vegan friendly menu will be offered. The

menu will include:
