Galatians 5:22 Welcome to the second Sunday of Advent at Bethany. You hear during the season about Christmas spirit. Are you in the Christmas spirit? Do you have the Christmas spirit? This morning I will continue to preach how to live in the spirit… the Holy Spirit! I believe that the ordinary, average person in this town is in urgent need of some manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit. Furthermore I believe that the average, ordinary Christian is in urgent need of the filling of the Holy Spirit. So… how do you get filled with the Spirit? Christmas Eve Services 4:00pm, 5:30pm, 7:00pm and 10:00pm Childcare available for infants to 1st grade for all services except 10:00pm Coming Next Sunday, Dec. 16th During all 3 Services End of Year Giving We face a dual challenge this December. On Christmas Eve we’ll be taking an offering for clean water. But, December 31 st also marks the end of our fiscal year at Bethany. During December, we need almost $189,000 to completely meet our General Fund Budget commitments for 2012. Last week’s offering toward this need was $32,780 and we have four Sundays to go. As you make end of the year plans please remember that your gift must be received in our church office by 5:00 p.m. on December 31 st , or be postmarked no later than December 31st. Don’t forget that this year you can also make donations online by going to our website, www.bethanysite.com.
