Kindergarten Is…..
A place to learn and grow in: • Academic areas - reading, math (60 min.), language,
writing, creativity, sequencing, large and fine motor skills, etc.
• Specialist classes—P.E., Music, Art/Computer Technology- 50 min. daily
• Social skills--interacting with others, requesting, stating, cooperating, following directions, problem solving.

• Focused on assisting individual students to make individual progress. (SMART goals, parent involvement, extra time and support. )

Welcome!! In Kindergarten we begin learning the basics of music through singing games and movement activities. As the year progresses we will learn about traditional music notation, famous composers and classroom instruments. Throughout your students career at Beattie they will have the opportunity to join band, strings, or chorus. I am very excited to meet our new Kindergarteners!
