Homework• Written work – no more than 40 minutes.• Part of their grade in each subject area.• All subjects except Math are done in Black

Erasable Pen and in Cursive• No written homework on the weekend except

for project work, Weekend Journal and preparing for the following week (Scholastic Quiz, Reading Log)

• You will receive the test schedule for the following week on Friday so you can prepare for the week.

• The website will be updated weekly.• Make it a Favorite on your computer.• Test Schedule and Upcoming Events• Website Resources –My Personal 4th

grade site – www.villavictoria.org• Then go to About VVA….select Faculty

Tests

• At least 3 days notice of all of my tests.

• From subject matter only (topics covered in class). Most information is in their composition pad as notes.

• Reviews topic taught in classroom and homestudy work.

Friday Folders, Test Folders and

Communication Flyers• Flyers and Announcements will be sent

home on Wednesdays• Friday Folders are sent home on Friday

– classwork and collected homestudy….keep work at home, send in signed slip and folder on Monday

• Test Folders – sent home on Mondays with the exception of holidays. Please sign test folder and tests. Then send back to school the next day.

Weekend Journal

• Weekend Journal – Students write weekend journal entries with their favorite stuffed animal. They are shared with the class on Wednesday (schedule and directions are in the front of the journal) to practice public speaking.

Scholastic Books

• Forms are sent home monthly• Check only to Scholastic, not me….• You can order them on line also.• Reduced rates of books than book

stores offer• I purchase books for the classroom

with the points I receive.

• Write a letter back to your child.• Let them know how much you love

them and the great work they are completing.

Cleanliness• We use Chlorox wipes on our desks on a daily

basis• Encourage healthy habits in the classroom• Might need more tissues, Chlorox wipes, and

Purell or Germ-X as the year goes on…thanks in advance!

• Due to health concerns, please keep your child home if they are sick…do not send in your child in to school until they are 24 hours without medicine and fever-free….lets try to keep everyone healthy!
