• 25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973•Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, and ceramicist•Full name: Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso•Learned from his father •Had a passion for art at an early age, his first word was the shortening of the Spanish word for pencil
