Our Trust & Fiduciary business was established in the mid 70’s in Jersey and Geneva and extended to Mauritius in 2003. Our team has grown to over 100 employees comprising of qualified lawyers, STEP members, chartered accountants and experienced practitioners.

In 2014 we joined Salamanca Group so as to broaden our capabilities to provide Private Office services to support the evolving needs of our select client base.

Whether we are establishing new bespoke structures or assuming responsibility for the ongoing administration of existing structures, we dedicate time to establishing a long-term relationship. This relationship is at the heart of everything we do. With over 100 employees dedicated to the Trust & Fiduciary business we are a boutique provider which is able to demonstrate critical mass in each of the three jurisdictions in which we operate.

Our experience in working with families means that we recognise the unique nature of each family’s circumstances taking into account that they can evolve over time, sometimes through choice and sometimes as a consequence of unplanned events. Although these circumstances cannot be prevented, by establishing and administering structures and providing estate planning services, we are able to prepare for and manage these circumstances as and when they arise.

We are a truly independent and privately owned Trust & Fiduciary group that services the estate planning and structuring needs of international families.

We are not investment managers, we do not lend money, we do not take deposits and we do not provide any form of legal or tax advice. We work with international entrepreneurs, families and family offices to enable you to administer, grow and protect wealth for yourself and your future generations.

We provide a comprehensive trustee, fiduciary and corporate service from Jersey, Geneva and Mauritius. Thanks to our 40 year existence and the hereditary nature of many of our structures, our team works in conjunction with second and third generations of a family.

Once we understand a family’s needs and have identified the most suitable fiduciary solution, we help to establish the structure and arrange the transfer of the assets. From the moment we hold the assets in a fiduciary capacity, we, as the legal owners, work with you and your advisors to implement a robust estate and business succession plan.

Our offering

We are responsible for the implementation, administration and management of an array of entities including trusts, private trust companies, foundations, partnerships, companies, family offices, philanthropic entities, employee benefit trusts and escrow arrangements.

Once the structure is established, we take care of the day-to-day administration of the assets it holds, managing sales, acquisitions and other transactions relating to them, as well as sitting on the boards of any companies in the structure. In addition, we provide a consolidated picture of your assets and their performance. Using our skills and expertise, we help to plan and implement both short-term and long-term goals and aspirations for these structures.

Increasingly we are asked to apply our knowledge and experience of owning assets as a fiduciary to assets held by alternative providers or by family members directly. Our experience in holding complex assets in a number of jurisdictions is an invaluable administration resource for families to ensure ownership is clear, correct monitoring of financial investments, consolidated reporting, assets are appropriately insured and held in strategic institutions and specialist advice is properly implemented.

We also provide a comprehensive administration service to a portfolio of international corporate clients operating across a wide range of sectors including energy, retail groups, wealth managers, financial services, engineering and infrastructure support. Our services have been used by this client base to support their corporate structures in asset acquisitions and disposals, cross border investment, corporate finance, corporate reorganisations and financial reporting. In addition, we provide trustee services to a range of employee incentive trusts primarily focused at executive level employees.

Our team

Over 100 dedicated employees implement and administer the structures we service and, most importantly, manage every aspect of your relationship with us. Each fiduciary relationship is allocated a carefully selected team, assembled on experience, qualification (law, accountancy, taxation, investments and trust administration), technical skills, personality fit and familiarity with a region’s specific culture and legislation. The senior management have a minority equity interest in Trust & Fiduciary which helps to ensure an owner managed culture which is fully aligned and focused on long-term objectives and building a sustainable business.

Our primary investment focus is on Special Situations and includes tangible asset, middle-market opportunities ranging from US$20 million to US$200 million across a range of sectors. These skills are equally useful in helping to advise and augment private office investment teams, either through the provision of advice or participation on investment committees.

Corporate AdvisoryOur Corporate Advisory team specialises in providing trusted, independent advice on the buying, selling and merging of companies (either public or private); in addition to capital raising and restructuring. Invariably, these capabilities are provided to our private office clients either in whole or in part to enhance their own activities.

Real EstateOur Real Estate Investment and Advisory team has been instrumental in providing strategic advice to clients on the acquisition of major projects around the world as well as acting as the principal developer of large scale residential, office and retail projects. The team has a particularly strong focus on the London market. Our team is also available to advise on the raising and structuring of debt, mezzanine and equity for client projects.

Property ServicesWorking with owners, trustees and agents, our Property Services team offer a full range of property services through the ownership lifecycle, using our knowledge and experience of the property market and ensuring the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail. We support our clients with sales, property management and residence management.

RelocationOur Relocation team manage and facilitate on a one-to-one basis every aspect of an individual’s or family’s relocation including residency and citizenship solutions, bespoke property search, removals and shipping, home set up, schools sourcing and ongoing concierge.

Education AdvisoryOur Education Advisory team provides a continuum of services to our clients that address their children’s ever-evolving education needs, from first steps and early years nursery education to university education and first job careers advice.

Yachting ServicesOur specialist yacht advisory team, based at OneOcean Monaco - wholly owned by Salamanca Group - offers consultative advice to our private clients across the entire spectrum of yachting.
