Mint On Moseley is a private function room with large balcony which enjoys stunning ocean views from an outstanding location only metres from vibrant Glenelg beach.

We specialise in private and corporate events licensed for up to 150 people.

Venue Amenities

Mint On Moseley is a unique, flexible and completely private function space. During your event you have full use of all the following spaces and facilities:

Mint A

Mint A is our main function room. It is approximately 5m wide x 9m deep and opens out onto the balcony. This area includes 6 x 70cm x 70cm tables for your use.

Mint B

Mint B adjoins Mint A and can be used as an extension of the Mint A function space or as a separate cocktail area, break-out area, seating area or meeting area.The area is approximately 4m wide x 4 - 5m deep. Which includes 3 coffee tables & 16 Seats.

The Suite

The Suite makes the perfect private room for a bride and groom, special guests, family area, cloak room, photo booth or small break-out meeting area. It is approximately 2.5m wide x 3m deep.

The Balcony

Our all-weather balcony enjoys stunning views over Moseley Square and Glenelg beach.It is a breathtaking spot to take in sunsets. Our balcony is sealed and heated in winter and can either be sealed and cooled in summer or opened to enjoy the beautiful sea breezes. It is approximately 9m wide x 2.75m deep. Which includes 4 Tall tables, 1 Large Tall Rectangle table & 12 Stools.

Venue facilities

Our venue includes a PA system, television, heating and cooling throughout (including the balcony), private bar, male and female toilets, chair lift access, function rooms, chairs and tables. We are happy to assist with any other additional requirements you may have. Please discuss your needs with the Function Manager.

The Bar

Private bar staff are included in the room hire. Our fully trained bar staff are able to provide a full variety of beverages from Wine, beer, spirits, soft drinks to delicious cocktails.

Your room hire covers the cost of our entire venue. Unfortunately we do not offer hire for only parts of our venue. However feel free to use as much or as little of each space for your function.

Venue Hire Details

We endeavor to help wherever we can to make your night extra special, here are some details about how we operate and what we offer.

Room hire, capacity & inclusions

Room Hire Costs:

• Monday to Thursday | $200• Friday | $380• Saturday | $480• Sunday | $350 *

* $480 if followed by a public holiday

Capacity:

Our venue is licensed for up to 150 people.For Saturday night functions we have a 50 guest minimum booking policy.

Music:

We have AUX connection available to play music via. our PA system from your MP3 Player, iPod, iPad or laptop.

TV:

You will have access to the TV (Mint A) to run photos / slides / PowerPoint via HDMI cord through PC Connection using your own laptop.

Bar:

Room Hire includes your own private bar staff for a period of 7 hours. (if extra time is required additional charges will apply)

Layout:

Table configuration can be adapted to suit your needs and style of function.

Bookings & Payment

Tentative Bookings:

Tentative bookings can be held for up to 7 days. Once the booking form has been returned and the room hire fee has been received in full your booking will be confirmed.

Payment:

Payment for food, drinks and any extras are to be made in cash, or by credit card (Visa and Mastercard only) on the night or Electronic Transfer 1 week prior to the function (please ask our Function Manager for account details). If an account is not settled at the completion of the event a 10% service fee will be charged. Personal cheques are not accepted. All company cheques must be cleared 14 days prior to the function date.

Reciept / Invoice:

No itemised receipts can be given on the night, however, invoices can be provided on request.

Licensing Restrictions & House Policies

We are licensed to serve drinks until 2am, however, the bar may be closed earlier should it become inactive.

Music can be played through the in-house sound systems, DJs, Jukebox or Live music must be restricted to the sound regulations governed by the South Australian Legislation

We are required by law to abide by the Liquor Licensing Act and reserve the right to refuse service to any guests who are deemed to be intoxicated or disorderly. It is illegal to serve or supply alcohol to any person under the age or 18 years.

Shoes must be worn by guests at all times.

We are unable to cater for 18th birthday parties.

Cleaning

The client is responsible for payment for any damage caused to the venue. Payment must be made on the day/night of the function.

General cleaning is included in the cost of your function. If cleaning requirements following your function are judged to be excessive, additional cleaning charges will be incurred which will be payable on the day/night of the function.

Decoration and Venue Access

Event organisers are able to have 2 hours access to the venue on the day of their function from 2pm onward Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Additional time must be agreed with the Function Manager.

As long as the main stair well and cameras are kept clear in accordance with fire regulations, there are no restrictions in place as to how you may decorate the venue. We would be happy to offer help and advice as to how your ideas may be achieved or check out our Facebook and Instagram pages. Please note sticky tape, blue tack, nails and screws are not permitted on any surface or part of the buildings, we recommend 3M removable Hooks. All candles must be in holders. Charges will be incurred to the organiser for repairs arising from unauthorised actions

Any decorations, presents, leftover cake, etc. will need to be taken at the end of your function. If you are unable to take your items with you a storage fee of $150.00 will apply. Cleaners will dispose of all other items left in the rooms.

Minimum Bar Spend & Drinks

Bar Tabs:

You and your guests are required to spend a minimum of $1,200.00 on the bar throughout the night. This can be done in a number of ways:

• Money can be put behind the bar to pay for all drinks until it reaches a certain limit after which guests pay for their own,

• Subsidised drinks can be arranged where the guest pays a reduced price on the item and the rest is charged to the host, or

• Items such as sparkling wine and jugs of cocktails can be pre-arranged and served to your guests as arrival drinks or for toasts. Any alternative ideas are welcome as long as the minimumspend of $1,200.00 is reached.

Apart from the options identified above, all guests pay full price for all drinks purchased over the bar.

No minimum bar spend on Monday through to Thursday Functions except public holidays.

Drinks Menu:

A personal menu will be designed for your function if you are having a tab.

Specific drinks such as cocktails/shooters can be made available upon request and special stock can be ordered specifically for your function if you require.

No BYO drinks are accepted.

The Account:

All accounts must be settled on the night if not before. Electronic Transfers on the night are not accepted. Food and Drink order forms will be emailed to you when your function is confirmed and then must be completed and returned 2 weeks before your function.

Extras

Equipment Hire:

We have a large range of rental equipment for hire including fairy lights, microphones, tablecloths, lolly bar glass ware, candle holders and much more. We can send to you details once your booking has been confirmed.

Cake Cutting:

A cake cutting service can be provided for $60.00. If you have a cake but do not require this service, you will need to provide your own plates and napkins for your cake.

The Suite:

The Suite makes the perfect private room for a bride and groom, special guests, family area, cloak room, photo booth or small break-out meeting area.

Special Access

Mint On Moseley is located on the first floor. A chair lift is available for guests with wheelchairs or those requiring assistance with the stairs.

Parking & Transport

Mint On Moseley is perfectly located to public transport amenities. The Glenelg to Adelaide tram stops right outside our door and buses and taxis are readily available. We are less than 20 minutes drive from the Adelaide CBD.

Nearby casual off-street car parking is available in Elizabeth Street and St Johns Lane or under the Beachouse.

There is a loading zone between the Grand Hotel and Mamma Carmela’s restaurant where you can park to drop-off any decorations or equipment.

If you or your guest have any issues with anything that happens before, after or during your event please contact our function manager.

Responsibility

Mint on Moseley will not be held responsible for any damages, loss or theft of personal items.

Clients/persons organizing the function are financially responsible for any damages sustained to Mint on Moseley.

Cancellation

Cancellation of a booking must be received in writing.

If cancellation occurs, the deposit/room hire is non-refundable or transferable and the deposit/room hire will be forfeited.

Cancellation within 60 days:

If cancellation occurs within 60 days your function an additional cancellation fee of $1200.00 will apply.

Cancellation within 21 days:

If cancellation occurs within 21 days your function an additional cancellation fee of $2,600.00 will apply.

Fire Brigade

Should the fire brigade respond to an alarm or call in the function room which had been set off by your function the client will be reliable for any charges accrued by the venue.

Insurance

Mint on Moseley will not be held responsible or pay any premiums on any insurance policies against injury, damages to or loss of equipment, merchandise or personal property of guest or event organisers prior to, during or after a function. Walk Ups

From time to time you do have un-invited guests come up the stairs, please advise our bar staff as they are fully trained to deal with this situation and will escort them from the premises.

Catering Details

All of Mint On Moseley’s delicious food selections are made to order.

Pricing & Minimum Requirements

Our Platters:

Platters start from $55.00 each.

There are approximately 25-30 pieces of finger food per platter.

When choosing from the different sub-headings in our menu, one variation makes up one platter.

Mixed platters are available at an additional cost of $10.00 per platter.

Minimum Order:

A minimum order of 10 platters is required.

Ordering:

Your food order and beverage selections will need to be placed and emailed back to us a minimum of 14 days prior to your function. We will email you our order forms when your booking is confirmed.

Due to health regulations, supplying your own food platters is not permitted, with the exception of cakes, cupcakes and lolly bars. Any other requirements must be approved by our Function Manager prior to the event.

Timing & Coordination A start time for food service can be agreed with the Function Manager. Platters can be brought out continuously or at timed intervals to suit your needs.

All napkins and serving utensils will be provided throughout food service.

Platters will be walked around the venue and offered to guests personally.

Additional & Last-minute Orders Should you require additional food during your function, some platters are available at short notice.

Dietary Requirements Please advise our Function Manager 14 days prior to your function should any of your guests have any allergies and/or dietary restrictions.
