This year we are organizing the 1st In-ternational IPEG ME Master Class on Advanced Pediatric Laparoscopy.We are appreciating your contribution to our Master Class specially those who are taking long journey to join us from UK, France, Egypt, Jordan, Gulf region and Saudi Arabia.This Course is going to be culminating in the award of a Certificate of Attendance recognized by IPEG Middle East Chapter & SCFHS.The Master Class includes Live Transmission & Animal Lab on 24th September 2016 at Academic affairs & Educational Center. The other two days at intercontinental hotel, will cover all topics in neonatal and pediatric MIS including recent advances in robotic, SILS, thoracic, GIT, bariatric and urology. This course targeting Pediatric Surgeons, Anesthetists, nurses, Dieticians, Psychologist, Family physicians, Social workers of all levels (Consultants, Specialist, Residents, Fellows, Trainees & etc).Special acknowledge to all the companies that support our eventThis year the course is structured 3 days’ course with a maximum of (24 participants for Animal Lab)Purpose of the program and course: The course is designed to provide opportunities to the participant to enhance his/her current surgical technical skills in the field of ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY:

• To provide a general understanding of MIS, recent advances in Robotic, SILS and Thoracic surgery • To give workshops on operative techniques • To discuss practical procedures and how to avoid complications • How to prepare a paper for publication • Overview updates in Pediatric • The program will help to enhance the contribution of the participants to the improvement of medical services in their country’s health sector. To motivate participants towards laparoscopic practice • To orient participants with the safe practice of laparoscopic surgery

Candidates criteria: Participants with basic experience in Laparoscopic Surgery (Preformed more than 30 procedures)

Objectives:

To familiarize participants with the principles and practice of laparoscopic surgery. By the end of the course, participants should gain basic knowledge and skills in the following topics:

• Diaphragmatic Hernia • Esophageal Atresia and TEF • Fundoplication • Splenectomy • Pyloromytomy • Diagnostic Thoracoscopy • Bowel Resection & Anastomosi • Anorectal Malformation • Hirschprung’s Disease • Hernia Repair • Ureteric re-implantation & Pyeloplasty • Hepatectomy • Ovarian & other Cystectomies

• Interactive Lectures & Round table discussions highlighting all the topics • Discussions to investigate and address the participants concerns and queries with experienced in the field • Hands-on training on animal lab to develop hand-eye coordination and practice essential operative skills • Live Surgery Transmission
