BA Basic Students: Bachelor Students

in their 1st and 2nd year of studies

BA Advanced Students: Bachelor Students

in their 3rd and 4th year of studies

MA Students: Master Students

2. Level of Study

• Each design project is limited to a certain number of participants.

• To make sure that all students have the same chance we use a matching system.

• Therefore, each student has to select at least four different design studios.

• The system matches the students with the design projects automatically.

This guarantees that all students are treated equally.

BA Basic get the project directly from us.

BA Advanced do BA Advanced design projects.

MA do MA design projects.

You can do only one project per semester.

In case you stay at TUM for one year and you

intend to do two projects, please keep in mind that

you have to do these two projects with different

professors.

Selection of design projects (project market)

When: Monday, 7th October 2019, 2pm – 3pm

The system closes at 3pm.

Modules consisting of 1 or 2 courses have either 3 or 6 ECTS and a duration of mostly one

semester.

You can do each module only once - even if the content changes between different

semesters.

In case you get a fixed place: Lucky you, you have got a confirmed place. Please always go to

the first appointment related to the course. Otherwise you will lose your place.

In case you are on the waiting list: Unfortunately you only got onto the waiting list. Please

always go to the first appointment and try to get a fixed place there.

If you stop attending a course, please unsubscribe yourself in TUMonline.

Additionally to registering for the courses, you are required to register for the related

exams via TUMonline, if you want to receive a grade / ECTS / Transcript of Records.

This refers to every course / seminar / lecture series / design project.

5. Registration for Exams

Attention:

If you want to withdraw from an exam you have

to unsubscribe from it in TUMonline. Otherwise

you will fail the exam as it will be evaluated with

a 5.0 (failed due to absence).

No exam registration

no grades

no ECTS

no Transcript of Records!

5. Registration for Exams

The Grade Report (Transcript of Records) is an official document. It is in English and

German and valid without signature and/or stamp.

The Grade Report shows the list of courses students attended at TUM including the grades

and the number of ECTS.

You can easily download and print your Grade Report directly from TUMonline.

• Log in to your TUMonline account

• Select Student Performance Records in the column Studies

• Select Print Grade Report to produce an official Transcript of Records

You have life-long access to your TUMonline account. You can download / print your

Transcript of Records as often as you need it.

6. Grade Report (Transcript of Records)

For ERASMUS+ students: Consequently, we don't sign the part after the mobility of the

ERASMUS+ Learning Agreements. Your TUM Grade Report (Transcript of Records) is the

official replacement for it.

Important

Due to German data protection laws Grade Reports are not send out to the students' home

institutions directly.

Exchange students from institutions which require Grade Reports to be sent directly to their

home institutions need to authorize this. Concerned Students have to write an E-Mail

to incoming@ar.tum.de and provide the contact details and E-Mail of the relevant contact

person at their home institution. We will send the Grade Report by E-mail.

Attention:

We can only issue your Transcript of Records if you have registered for the exams.

6. Grade Report (Transcript of Records)

Some Incoming Students need a signed Confirmation of Stay / Certificate of Attendance by

the end / beginning of their stay at TUM.

Where: Please send us your documents by e-mail or come to our office.

When: At the end of your stay at TUM.

How: By e-mail or in person.

Attention:

Please be aware that we cannot sign the Confirmation of Stay / Certificate of Attendance in

advance. It is best to send the document by e-mail - five days before your departure.

How: To use the tools you need to attend the

introduction course (1 hour), sign a form and pay € 15

The Technical Center belongs to the Department of

Architecture. It is a joint center for research and

development. Students‘ designs, theses, doctoral

theses and research work can be processed and

realized there on a qualified level.

How:

The ar:toolbox provides free rental of multimedia tools and

tools for students.

Required software skills are taught in regular courses for

beginners and advanced students. Tutors also help with

software problems.
