THE CHURCH GATHERS TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS EVE
PRELUDE Paul Manz “Quelle est cette odeur agreeable” 1919-2009 WORDS OF GREETING Rev. Jeff Procter-Murphy *CAROL Hymnal #234 “O Come, All Ye Faithful” Vs. 1 & 2 *CHRISTMAS PRAYER (in unison) Michelle Kelley Gracious and loving God, on this day we pray for all who walk in darkness, in this place and everywhere, that they may be freed from all evil and fear, and may in joy be lifted up to the light of your love. Bathe the world with your grace so that men and women together may hear your astonishing word of hope and become agents of your transforming love. In this, as in all things, we give you praise for ever and ever. Amen.
If this is your first time with us, we’re glad you’re here! Please indicate your presence with us
by filling out the sheet from the Welcome brochure found in the pew rack.
The presence of children is a gift to our church and they are a reminder that Dayspring is
growing. All children are welcome during our services. If you prefer, children’s nursery care
is available in Room 116.
Large print bulletins, hymnals and personal listening devices are available in the Narthex or
from the ushers, as well as Children’s Worship Guides. Ask an usher if you need assistance.
Dayspring UMC is a Reconciling Congregation. All people, regardless of age, sex, race, color,
ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, economic status or ability are welcome into the full
life of our congregation. Dayspring UMC affirms the value and worth of all persons, recognizing
that everyone is a child of God. We call all to live by and attest to gender equality and to observe
Jesus' principles of love and non-violence in all our relationships.
Please note: Our services are streamed online. If you prefer not to potentially be on camera,
please sit toward the back of the section to your left (farthest from the choir).
