What is the Film Audience Network?
• Nine regional hubs to work with the BFI and local partners to bring British Independent and Specialised film to UK audiences in new and exciting ways
• Each Hub led by a lead organisation(s) • Based on the core values of Reach, Breadth and
Depth, FAN will be working to offer a wider and more diverse range of films in more venues and new locations

How Can You Get Involved?
Membership itself is free, and will provide you with potential access to funding, training, and sector development initiatives offered by Film Hub Central East. To become a member you must submit an Expression of Interest.

Eligibility
For support from Film Hub Central East we ask you to:
• have a commitment to the objectives of Film Hub Central East • nominate a representative of your organisation• agree to share data and results from Hub Activity

Core ObjectivesThe Film Hub and supported activity will function within the core strategic objectives outlined within the BFI’s Film Forever plan. These core objectives are: • Reach - To increase and broaden audiences for
specialised and British independent film• Breadth - To considerably extend film choice for
audiences across the UK• Depth - To enhance opportunities for audiences to
engage with and learn about film

How much money is available?• £151,800 has been allocated to support Film Hub
Central East Activity in 2014/2015. • £100,000 of this sum is assigned to support
selected Expressions of Interest Activity. • Funding is used to support a range of audience
development activities at a local, regional, and cross-regional level.

The ProcessOur aim is to provide a welcoming, transparent, and engaging Hub• We emphasise that the expressions of interest cycles
are not applications, but a conversation of how we can collaborate to grow audiences in the region.
• There will be feedback and an open dialogue of how we can work together to revise unsuccessful proposals for future EOI cycles.

Expressions of interest are allocated into two strands:• Proposals of delivering Activity to be
supported by the Hub
• Proposing receiving access to Activity supported by the Hub

What we ask you to provide
• an explanation of the Activity• a breakdown of costing and VAT details• specifics on your venue (or where the activity
is taking place) and audience• details on any other parties involved in the
activity, particularly those contributing additional income

• Depending on the Expressions of Interest we receive, we may look to support you in developing partnerships across the Hub to create larger co-ordinated activity

How many EOIs can be submitted?
You are welcome to propose multiple EOI’s for different Activity, or if you wish to both deliver and receive Activity.

What are we looking for?
Activity is tailored to local audiences and geography, including support for:• touring and archive programmes• pop-ups and live events • projects aimed at engaging the next generation of
film fans • sector-led training in areas such as programming,
marketing, fundraising, and technical delivery
