A little about me ….

I was born in Stony Brook Long Island …

…. at Stony Brook University Hospital

MY FAMILY

PORT JEFFERSON, NEW YORK

I grew up on Long Island in a town called Port Jefferson … although my family moved A LOT!

Here I was introduced to

YEAR ROUND SCHOOLING!

When I was in the middle of 7th grade my family and I moved across the country from New York to California.

Milford Pennsylvania

At the end of my 8th grade year we moved to Pennsylvania – just in time to start high school!

After high school ….

It took a while for me to find the right school … so while attempting to find my perfect fit I was able to explore and attend schools in Scranton Pennsylvania, Warwick, Rhode Island and Morehead City, North Carolina ….

THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY

... until finally I was able to settle down in State College, Pennsylvania

Here I received a BS in Animal Sciences and after working for a year I returned to get my M.Ed in Agricultural Extension and Education.

Before returning to Penn State to get my Masters I lived in Brooklyn, NY and was given the opportunity to work in Manhattan at the ASPCA Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital

August 2011 - I landed my first teaching job

I loved my time at Buffalo Gap – however I was excited when I was given the opportunity to move to a different location and take on my own program ….
